The Mike Tyson biopic has been bouncing around the ring for years, with Jamie Foxx set to play Iron Mike over a span that has seen the project go from a theatrically released film directed by Martin Scorsese to a limited series helmed by Antoine Fuqua and title changes from Finding Mike to Tyson. And while Foxx’s recent health scare put many on high alert, Tyson himself is hoping that the Oscar winner will still be able to put on the gloves.
Speaking with Valuetainment, Mike Tyson said that there is still a chance that Jamie Foxx will play him in the biopic, but doesn’t know what the recent circumstances could lead to. “It was a possibility. You know, I don’t know what’s gonna happen now, but you know, it’s a strong possibility…Jamie’s closer to my age, so in order to do him,...

Former professional boxer Mike Tyson revealed Jamie Foxx suffered a stroke in April, amid ongoing medical recovery. Foxx’s family previously shared that he had suffered from a “medical complication” while filming the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action in Atlanta, but did not provide a cause or further details.
Speaking to Patrick Bet–David and Michael Franzese on a May 16 episode of the Pbd Podcast, the 56-year-old boxing legend was asked if he has followed the actor’s hospitalization news. “He’s not feeling good,” Tyson confirmed. “Yea, they said stroke. I had no idea what happened to him.”
Bet-David expressed how shocked he was to have heard of Foxx’s hospitalization, as he had seen him looking well and healthy shortly prior to the news. “Hey listen. We can’t anticipate that next breath,” Tyson warned the podcast host. “We don’t know when we’re gonna die. After we leave this,...

After dropping the epic “Lord of the Rings” television series on Prime Video last month, it’s no surprise the streaming giant is taking it easy this October. They still have plenty of new shows and movies coming out, though none quite on the scale of their journey to Middle Earth.
That being said, they’re transitioning from the world of fantasy to science fiction with their new series “The Peripheral.” Touted as being from the creators of HBO’s “Westworld,” Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, the time-traveling series is based on author William Gibson’s bestselling sci-fi novel.
Per an official synopsis: “The Peripheral” centers on Flynne Fisher (Moretz), a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow’s America. Flynne is smart, ambitious, and doomed. She has no future; until the future comes calling for her. “The Peripheral” is...

Actress Zoe Saldana spoke about her upcoming role in the Reese Witherspoon-produced Netflix series ‘From Scratch’, the mom of three attributes having kids to help keep her youthful.
After noting that Saldana looks nearly the same in ‘From Scratch’ as she did two decades ago in her film Center Stage, the actress teases, “It’s like Benjamin Button, I’ll take that as a compliment,” reports People.
“I think having children keeps me out of trouble a lot,” she continues.
“I go to bed early. I eat better. I sleep longer sometimes. I’m back to sleeping.”
“I was having a lot of problems with my sleep. Whereas right before I had them, I was very much of the policy of work hard, play hard,” she explains.
“And I loved my life like that. But I feel like having children happened at the right time for me because in your mid-thirties to late thirties,...

“You inevitably turn into what people think you are,” someone opines a few hours (or years) into Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Bardo (or False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths),” a movie so nakedly personal in spite of its epic scope that even the most benign stray comments betray the sting of self-flagellation. And yet there’s a reason why this one manages to break the skin.
By this point in the film’s oneiric non-story, it’s already clear that Silverio (Daniel Giménez Cacho) — a journalist turned documentarian who returns to Mexico a few days before he’s scheduled to receive a major industry award in his adopted home of Los Angeles — is a stand-in for the Oscar-winning auteur behind the camera, who’s shooting an entire movie in his birth country for the first time since “Amores Perros” catapulted him to fame 22 years ago. By the same token,...
