One of the biggest issues with Fallout that fans will take umbrage with is its short run time. The first season of Jonathan Nolan’s post-apocalyptic saga is only eight episodes long. At roughly an hour each, that’s just a single 9 to 5-hour shift! Definitely not enough time in the wasteland.
There’s nothing that can quite replicate the same feeling as Fallout. But some can come close. So, if you’ve finished the series and feel like you need more of the wasteland, here are five shows that can keep you busy until the second nuk—sorry, season drops.
5. The Last of Us The first season did a faithful retelling of the story of the first game and its Dlc.

Back in 1989, Kevin Costner starred in an iconic drama film called Field of Dreams. With a man hearing voices and a diamond vision urging him to make a baseball field, the movie was, no doubt, greeted with love and open arms.
As per recent news, NBC was going to convert that film into a TV series that would have starred Andre Braugher and Nick Offerman in iconic roles! Well, sadly, the series was eventually canceled and the fans never got to know about it until today!

Voice actors always have an important role to play in animated media franchises. Their job is to express the emotions that their characters are feeling only with their voices and it requires an incredible amount of skill and perfection to be able to do it consistently.
Batman: The Animated Series

Stephanie Beatriz is opening up about a recent reunion she had with the Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast which they used to remember their late co-star André Braugher.
The actor died in December 2023 at the age of 61 following a brief illness. Beatriz and her former co-stars, such as Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, and Chelsea Peretti, saw each other in March to remember Braugher.
“[It was] a chance for all of us to get together and make each other laugh,” Beatriz told People about the reunion. “And it was also a chance to talk about André. It came up immediately, and then we put it away for a while.”
She continued, “But at the end of the dinner, by the end, we were all just sharing stories about him and our memories of him. And he lives in our hearts forever and ever.”

The late Kevin Conroy is a bonafide legend as far DC animated series and video games are concerned. The veteran voice artist is best known for bringing Batman to life in the 1992 animated series that also heralded a long and successful career spanning over 3 decades. His distinctive voice that immortalized the DC icon is one that will be hard to replace.

In an interview a few years ago, Conroy spoke about how the gig fell into his lap after a laborious audition process which saw Warner Brothers trying out over 500 voices. The actor also elaborated on his ignorance regarding the character and his legacy, which was clarified to him by pioneering animator and DC producer Bruce Timm.
Kevin Conroy Had This Misconception About Batman
It is difficult to imagine anyone other than Kevin Conroy’s raspy voice bringing the character of Batman to life on television.

The entertainment industry hasn’t always been quite as diverse and open-minded as it is today. From racial discrimination to disparity based on sexuality, as confessed by actors themselves, Hollywood has been a mess for a long time. Take, for example, when late actor Kevin Conroy revealed losing roles because of his homosexuality, before landing Batman: The Animated Series in 1992.

After facing years of discrimination, Kevin Conroy eventually shared the experiences of being a gay actor in Hollywood. Perhaps his grieving words opened the eyes of millions and became an inspiration for change. Thus, years after Conroy’s work as Batman in the Dcau, bisexual actress Stephanie Beatriz could work with ease as Batwoman in Catwoman: Hunted.

Cheng Shih, a woman seemingly forgotten by history, lived on these tropical and often tempestuous waters, using her intelligence and cunningness to become one of the greatest leaders in this part of the world. Actors are often faced with walking a tightrope between their creative ambitions and the strict guidelines laid down by the all-powerful Marvel Studios. One such actor, Anthony Mackie, who has played the iconic character Falcon / Sam Wilson / Captain America in several MCU films, recently opened up about the creative constraints that actors face behind the scenes.
Mackie has made a name for himself as an action star thanks to his work as Captain America. Of course, because of his success as Sam Wilson, the actor, 45, has been able to venture outside of the comic book industry. This includes his starring role (John Doe) in the Twisted Metal series. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League released back in February of this year to a prickly reception from DC fans and critics alike. The game was derided for ruining the beloved legacy of the Batman Arkham games due to its mundane gameplay and grindy nature which never resembled the dark, macabre cat-and-mouse game between the Joker and the Dark Knight in any way, swapping it out for a headache-inducing Ui and mediocre shooting mechanics.
Alarm bells were ringing when no review codes were sent out for the game prior to launch, despite the game having already been delayed multiple times. Within the first two weeks of that eventual launch, the total player count has dropped to a meagre 3 digit figure of less than 1000.

Twisted Metal is a video game franchise that began in 1995 on the original PlayStation. David Jaffe, brought gamers a zany world that involved vehicular combat and cool character design. Winning a simple demolition derby served as the game’s main premise and goal. Between now and then, multiple sequels were released, with the last one being in 2012, although the franchise then lay dormant for around ten years.
Then in 2021, it was officially announced that Anthony Mackie would lead a Twisted Metal TV series that would feature iconic characters and imagery from the game, but would tell a unique, original story. The show premiered in the US in July of 2023, but it is being aired in the UK for this first time on Paramount+ later this month, on March 21 2024.

Anthony Mackie is all set to get his solo Captain America project in Captain America: Brave New World, slated to release in 2025. Some film festivals take themselves entirely too seriously. Not South by Southwest, the Austin-based multidisciplinary mega-event where amped-up crowds welcome comedies with open arms — the raunchier the better. This year, one logline stood out as especially promising: “A 30-year-old Indian American virgin gets a job teaching high school Sex Ed.” Alas, “Doin’ It” doesn’t cut it (it’s basically 2014 Haley Joel Osment comedy “Sex Ed” with a cultural spin). The concept is funny, but the execution feels forced, in part because the substitute in question (played by Lilly Singh) is supposed to be following an abstinence-based curriculum. In theory, her deep-seated celibacy should make her perfect for the job.
The movie aims to combat the shame around all aspects of human sexuality, which seems like an admirable but inevitably controversial goal. But “Doin’ It” goes too far straight out of the gate, opening with an embarrassment no teenager can...

Sex is a lot like filmmaking. You dive in when you’re ready, trust your companions, and learn from experience. Few people start out as experts, but there’s beauty in being allowed to try and fail in different environments over the years.
In her first feature film lead, comedian and former late night host Lilly Singh plays Maya, a computer engineer who takes a part-time job teaching sex education. After an incident in her teens led to her mother moving them back to India, Maya not only repressed her sexuality but grew to actively fear it — and now she’s teaching teens about sex despite having never done it herself. Singh, Neel Patel, and director Sara Zandieh co-wrote the film, which premiered at SXSW on March 12.
Sonia Dhillon Tully plays Maya’s hyperconservative single mother Veena, a role that has unfortunately been tread and retread in the South Asian-American film ouevre.

Samberg was top-billed in an ensemble cast that also included the late, great Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Terry Crews, and Melissa Fumero. In spite of being cancelled by its first network home, Fox, the show wound up making it through eight seasons, with the final seasons airing on NBC. As the show was wrapping up in 2021, while the show was in its last season, Samberg spoke about the impact Brooklyn Nine-Nine had on his life and career. In the midst of picking Stephanie’s brain regarding what we can expect from the new season, we found interesting insights into the show’s remarkable ability to include new easter eggs, callbacks, and loyalty to the source material.
Revving Up those Easter Eggs From the Early Games We might get to see more callbacks to the original games going forward.

Twisted Metal Season 2 will pick up the story of Anthony Mackie’s John Doe, where the character’s self-claimed sister, Dollface, is likely to join the post-apocalyptic madness.
(Spoilers for Season 1)
Season 1 ended with John Doe finally reaching the New San Francisco, where he’s bored with his life now, and Stephanie Beatriz’s Quite is out there stealing deliveries from milkmen.
The date of the show remains undisclosed, but it will be a twisted journey without a shadow of a doubt. Until then, the audience can enjoy the experiences Anthony Mackie shared with FandomWire regarding the TV adaptation of the popular franchise and playing Twisted Metal video games.
This Would Have Taken a Lot of Brainstorming
The Avengers star plays John Doe in the Twisted Metal series.
Unlike the TV series, the games did not particularly focus on characters. Players simply sit in vehicles to beat other drivers trying to get them.

Two years have gone by since it was announced that Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries) had signed on to star in the horror thriller History of Evil for writer/director Bo Mirhosseni. At the end of 2022, I was given the Goliath task of explaining to our readers (and much of our staff) why the internet had gone completely feral over the animated design of the Devil Daddy himself, Lucifer Morningstar, on "Hazbin Hotel." Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano debuted the animated musical pilot for "Hazbin Hotel" on YouTube in 2019, funded entirely by Medrano's Patreon followers and brought to life completely by freelance animators. It quickly went viral and generated a diehard fanbase, one that exists on the fringes of fandom circles and well outside of four-quadrant entertainment.
It's adult animation, but too edgy for the constraints of something like "The Simpsons." It's as raunchy as "South Park," but caters to a queerer audience base. It boasts a Broadway cast as impressive as "Central Park," but without the "Hamilton" name recognition to excite your mom. "Hazbin Hotel" is what happens when you grow up watching...

[This story contains mild spoilers for season one of Hazbin Hotel.]
“On paper, there’s a lot of people that might say no to something like this — a very raunchy animated musical comedy world written by a young woman,” Hazbin Hotel star Stephanie Beatriz tells The Hollywood Reporter. But for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Encanto actress, showrunner Vivienne Medrano’s “weird, cool, fantastical imagination” has produced a series that is not only “delightfully horny, unhinged and ridiculous,” but uniquely special beyond its “small minutiae of cock jokes.
“It somehow manages to have this throughline of true gay love and this very big idea about whether it’s possible to redeem a soul, to change after being damned for all time,” she says of A24’s first foray into animation and Prime Video’s latest push into the medium’s R-rated adult space. “I just love Vivienne’s world-building.”
Broadway star and lead voice actress Erika Henningsen offers similar praise.

One of the most exciting new animated series this year is Hazbin Hotel, a Prime Video series from Vivienne Medrano that tells the surreal tale of Charlie Morningstar (voiced by Erika Henningsen), the princess of Hell, who tires of an annual purge whereby angels descend from Heaven to smite demons, and, along with her girlfriend Vaggie (Stephanie Beatriz), creates the Hazbin Hotel — a rehab clinic of sorts for those in Hell so that they can gain entry into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Hazbin Hotel, the first foray into animation for award-winning studio A24, is actually not new, despite having debuted on Prime Video just last Friday.
The R-rated musical comedy originated online as a 30-minute pilot in 2019 and quickly won over a fanbase that has largely stuck by it since its self-funded days. The series follows princess of Hell Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen), who in an attempt to stop the angels from murderously purging her demonic subjects, opens a hotel to help rehabilitate them. The goal: Turn these sinners into saints unable to be wiped out by the (unsettlingly terrifying) angels.
She’s joined — in certain cases against their will — by friends, funders and her father (that’s Lucifer voiced by Jeremy Jordan). That includes Charlie’s grounded girlfriend Vaggie (Stephanie Beatriz); exasperated bartender Husk (Keith David); sex worker and rehabilitation Guinea pig Anthony “Angel Dust” (Blake Roman); Alastor the “Radio Demon...

With Peacock’s Twisted Metal adaptation getting the green light for a second season, showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith and team dropped a few tidbits during an interview with NBC Insider on what to expect for season 2. That includes not only the focus on the tournament itself, but also the appearance of several more fan favorites from the video game series.
“I’m really excited,” says Smith. “We have an amazing team of writers and we’re discussing the arc of the season and what the first episode might be, looking at the big picture.” Among the characters the team is looking to introduce in the show, tournament organizer Calypso will finally be making an appearance, along with Dollface (who in Peacock’s adaptation is John Doe’s long-lost sister), Mr. Grimm, and perhaps the most challenging for the showrunners, Axel.

When the TV series based on the popular video game franchise Twisted Metal made its premiere on the Peacock streaming service back in July, it quickly became one of Peacock’s top five original series, racking up 400 million viewing minutes in its first weekend and earning the honor of being the streamer’s “most-binged” premiere. Now season 2 is moving full steam ahead, and showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith (who also happens to be a writer on Cobra Kai) has given Syfy Wire an update, saying the writers room has been assembled for season 2 and he feels they’re going to deliver something wild.
Smith is excited to be working with characters like Dollface, Mr. Grimm, and Axel, although working a couple of those into the grounded world established in the first season presents a challenge. As he said, “(Mr. Grimm) is my favorite and I’m excited to capture what the fans are excited about seeing,...
