We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about shows including Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Doctor Who, The Good Wife and Chicago Fire!
1 | Has Jessica Jones given young women the easiest (and a modest!) superhero costume to pull off? (That said, doesn’t it kind of look like Shiri Appleby’s UnREAL wardrobe?) And after so many start-and-stops, has Rachael Taylor (Charlie’s Angels, 666 Park, Crisis…) finally found herself a winner?

I'm not sure there is anything specific to saw about this episode as it is pretty much all over the board. We have a few drops to play courtesy of Mitch, we spend some time talking about the Super Bowl and the trailers and commercials that played during the game and discuss the box office draft and the new DVDs and Blu-rays out this week. Finally we play our usual allotment of games, we answer a couple questions and send you on your way. We hope you enjoy. If you are on Twitter, we have a Twitter account dedicated to the podcast at @bnlpod. Give us a follow won'tchac I want to remind you that you can call in and leave us your comments, thoughts, questions, etc. directly on our Google Voice account, which you can call and leave a message for us at (925) 526-5763, which may be even easier to remember at (925) 5-bnl-pod.

ITV's Broadchurch is bloody brilliant TV that proves anything the Danish can do, we can do with Pauline Quirke lurking behind a caravan as a cherry on top. It's The Killing with West Country accents and 99 Flakes rather than knitted jumpers and subtitles.
We're only one hour into the eight-part crime drama, but my head is already spinning with possibilities as to who killed 11-year-old Danny Latimer.
Was it his shifty-looking dad (Andrew Buchan), who looks like he's been getting his end away more often than a Premier League footballer in a strip club? Did cornershop owner David Bradley do it with 50 pence of sherbet lemons? Are Arthur Darvill's reverend and David Tennant's detective inspector in a Doctor Who conspiracy?
The list of suspects is as long as a Peter Jackson movie and on a purely whodunnit level, the show is gripping entertainment.

For the first time ever, we polled the entire Sos staff on their favorite TV of the last 12 months. We knew that, given the fact that our contributors are (principally) spread out across Canada, the Us, and Britain, that the results might well be a mixed bag. What we didn’t necessarily expect was the level of consensus surrounding the upper quartile of the list. There was a clear groundswell of support for our collective #1, but competition was fierce for the spots just behind it. Here are the 20 best TV shows of 2011, according to the staff as a whole; stay tuned for The Televerse’s year-end wrap-up, in which Kate Kulzick and Simon Howell discuss their respecive favorites – and least favorites – in greater detail.

It’s television award time! The Emmy’s are still a ways away, but in the mean time we have the Television Critics Association awards, or the TCAs. Leading in nominations with four apiece are HBO’s Game of Thrones, FX’s Justified, and NBC’s Parks and Recreation.
Now to break those down. Game of Thrones has had the production value of Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, but cranked up a notch. It’s gory, vulgar, and fun to watch. The characters and their motives are so intricate and deep, yet you can still get pulled in to this world. Check out our weekly reviews of the episodes by our own Elisabeth Rappe, our weekly podcast covering the show, and our combo reread of the novels by George R.R. Martin that the show is adapted from (by a series newbie and a series vet). Parks and Recreation...

Outside of Sin City, unless you are a fan of indie cinema you won’t have seen much of Lord of the Rings lead Elijah Wood on your screens in the eight years since that trilogy came to a close. He’s mostly spent the near decade since floating around from indie fare to box office flops that lived or died by his star power (films like Green Street and The Oxford Murders which all died, sadly) and no doubt there will be some already writing him off as the new generation’s Mark Hammil.
However the 30 year old’s failing career might be about to get something of a revival next year when he briefly reprises his role of Frodo Baggins for a nostalgic scene or two in Peter Jackson’s Middle-Earth comeback movie The Hobbit and of course before that he leads his own offbeat FX comedy titled...

We at MovieViral cover viral campaigns and other viral marketing for films and television. While the main campaigns we are covering right now are for Apollo 18 (currently on hiatus due to the release date being pushed back), Super 8, and the Marvel movies, there have been plenty of interesting developments this week for other films. Check it all out below.
Viral Campaigns
The Avengers – The S.H.I.E.L.D. recruitment site has been updated to include missions for agents that will unlock hidden feature. We also got an interactive guide for Thor thanks to Marvel UK that gives some background on Asgard and some of the characters from the film.
Super 8 – We had a few big updates to the viral campaign for the J.J. Abrams film. The biggest news has been packages being mailed to bloggers that contain clips of the experiment film that is starting...
