- Swedish documentary filmmaker, lyricist and book author, the second son of Gustaf V, King of Sweden, and Victoria of Baden, Queen Consort. Among his works, he is best known for his films - and books - detailing his travels to Central Africa and to Central America during the 1920's.
- His son was filmmaker and actor Lennart Bernadotte, who co-authored a book about his father in 1965, shortly after the prince's death.
