Even though Rydell High's easily excitable and enthusiastic head cheerleader, Patty Simcox, might not be the coolest kid in school, Elle McLemore, the equally as excited and enthusiastic actress who plays her in the upcoming Grease Live, is as sweet and likeable as can be. Most theatre fans know McLemore for playing less than loveable cheerleaders, first as the Machiavellian Eva in Bring It On The Musical, and then as the dim-witted Heather McNamara in Heathers The Musical. Despite some of her character's worst traits, McLemore is always disarmingly sweet and infectiously charming.

Hawaii-born Elle McLemore burst onto the theatre scene in 2011 when she was cast as the evil Eva in the Pre-Broadway National Tour of Bring It On The Musical. Like most of that cast, McLemore went on to make her Broadway debut when the tour made its way to New York the following year. Since then the 23-year-old has been a regular on the final season of Army Wives and one of the stars of Off-Broadway's cult favorite Heathers The Musical, as 'Cheerleader Heather,' Heather McNamara.

Before Jawbreaker, Clueless, or Mean Girls, there was 1989’s Heathers, a dark cult comedy that set the standard for films about popular cliques in high school. Pre-Regina George, there were Heathers Duke, McNamara and Chandler, a trio of scrunchied debutantes who classed up the joint with delicate phrases like “Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?” and “F–k me gently with a chainsaw.”

Lifetime has cancelled Army Wives, their long-running drama, after seven seasons. While there won't be an eighth season, the cable channel has plans for a two-hour retrospective special with castmembers which will air in early 2014.
Army Wives follows the lives of a diverse group of women living with their spouses and families on an active Army post. Created by Katherine Fugate, the series has starred Catherine Bell, Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Wendy Davis, Brigid Brannagh, Kelli Williams, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Brooke Shields, Ashanti, Torrey DeVitto, Elle McLemore, Jesse McCartney, Terry Serpico, Drew Fuller, Alyssa Diaz, J.J. Soria, Joshua Henry and Burgess Jenkins.
Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lifetime, said, “There is no denying how special Army Wives has been to both Lifetime and the television landscape. By taking on a very relevant and timely issue, it has brilliantly...

Lifetime's long-running "Army Wives" wrapped up Season 7 on Sunday night (June 9) -- its first without original cast member Kim Delaney. While the show injected a handful of new blood (Ashanti, Brooke Shields and Torrey DeVitto), with only one original wife around (Catherine Bell's Denise), is the show worth renewing?
Lifetime has yet to order an 8th season for the show, but with a finale that seemed focused on setting up a sort of "Army Wives: The Next Generation," further sidelining Bell's character and offering an apparent exit for fellow original cast member Wendy Davis, it's clear a Season 8 will be a season utterly unrecognizable from its early years.
Focusing heavily on Holly's (Elle McLemore, another Season 7 addition) struggles with husband Tim's (Jesse McCartney) obvious Ptsd and Gloria's (Alyssa Diaz) indecision over who she wanted to be with -- ex-husband Hector (Joseph Julian Soria) or Patrick (Brant Daugherty) --...

On "Reckoning," Army Wives fans were treated to pretty significant field scenes - and I think they will bring changes to the characters that will take a long time to settle. The ladies will look back on their party at Denise's and wish for the simple times once again.
The soldiers never seem as excited to leave for home as the spouses are to receive them. Except the last soldiers who are left behind. They are the ones who are most looking forward to getting home and are instead sitting back watching the youngsters wish they were staying on the battlefield.
It was pretty obvious as soon as Bravo was ordered home that tragedy was going to strike again. The potential for drama is too good and they've been spending too much time in Afghanistan for them to just go over, become combat buddies and come home. It was about to hit the fan.

Jesse McCartney may have gotten his start in music, but the now 25-year-old has thrived on television -- from his award-winning performance on All My Children to roles in Summerland and Greek, McCartney has proven he's got chops to make it on the small screen.
But a new role is testing every fiber of McCartney's being in order to believably bring to life Army Wives' newest recruit, Private Tim Truman. ETonline caught up with the actor to find out how he prepared -- both physically and mentally -- to play a soldier and what fans can expect from this revamped season.

Jesse McCartney: With any character, the main objective is to bring authenticity to the role. But this is a little more sensitive because our troops are still over there so when you're talking about war, people are going to be a little more hyper-critical...

"From the Ashes" will arise an entirely new Army Wives. I read your comments, and I know how that makes many of you feel. As happens on actual military bases, the names and faces of some "Army Wives" are changing.
When the Lifetime drama series begins its seventh season Sunday, March 10, an obvious absence will be that of founding cast member Kim Delaney ... with the departure of her character, Claudia Joy Holden, explained very early in the run. Longtime co-stars Sally Pressman and Sterling K. Brown are recurring now, but at the same time, the show is getting an influx of performers both new and familiar.

Army Wives’ rebooted seventh season has seen quite a few additions to the cast over the last few months, including three new series regulars. The show will be practically a different entity. Not that long ago, Brooke Shields joined the series in a recurring role as Katherine “Kat” Young, a fantastic pilot and a fierce supporter of the Air Force. Recent news reveals we’ll get to know Kat’s family, especially her daughter, but we’ll find she’s not much like her mother at all, which will be sure to create some great tension between the two characters. Plus, Kat’s daughter sounds like a total bad ass.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kaley Ronayne will be playing Hannah Young and will recur alongside Brooke Shields. Hannah is a go-getter with a sensitive side, contrasting with her mother’s brashness and ability to fit in with the boys.
