Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Andre Gray reportedly got married earlier this month, and we have been waiting with bated breath to see photos from the big day. Fortunately, her Little Mix bandmate Jade Thirlwall gave fans a first look at the Jamaican nuptials on June 14, and it looked so dreamy!
Taking to Instagram, the singer posted a slew of stunning pictures of herself with her close friends, including her boyfriend and Rizzle Kicks singer Jordan Stephens. Although Pinnock and Gray have not yet confirmed their marriage, eagle-eyed onlookers may have noticed that the coconut Stephens was drinking from in the images has "L" and "A" carved onto it, hinting at the couple's first names.

Written and directed by British filmmaker Jamie Patterson, God’s Petting You is a dark, twisted comedy about two addicts joining forces to steal a small fortune from a wealthy porn star. One happens to be addicted to heroin, the other to sex, oh – and they also happen to find each other attractive, so what’s the worst thing that could happen?
Will it work or will it all crumble and fall?
Set in Patterson’s hometown of Brighton, the film’s atmosphere is dark and gloomy throughout, with no real hope of a happy ending. Our main character Charlie, the heroin addict (George Webster), seems to be yet another addict fighting his way for the next high, with few other cares or consequences in the world. He’s stuck in a dead-end job in insurance with a boss called Mark (Joss Porter), who is borderline inappropriate and batshit crazy towards Charlie,...

British pay-tv network Sky expects to continue its relationship with HBO “one way or the other,” as Warner Bros. Discovery’s plans to merge HBO Max and Discovery+ in Europe next year gather pace.
Sky has had HBO content output deals in place since 2014, but its ability to re-up in 2025 has been the subject of much speculation as HBO Max rolled out. The pair also entered into a co-production pact in 2019 and have made shows such as the critical hit Chernobyl and comedy Landscapers.
Warner Bros. Discovery has stopped the Max roll out ahead of plans to create a merged product and has not yet addressed its deal with the UK giant. One option could be to pull back from the deal and put its HBO shows on the platform. Deadline revealed yesterday the streamer is letting go of 29 people in Europe.

(Editor’s note: The following review contains spoilers for Season 2 of “Feel Good,” including the ending.)
It’s no secret that comedians are some of the world’s most traumatized people, perhaps rivaled only by queers. Humor as a coping mechanism for trauma is a tale as old as time, and all it takes is a quick glance at any decent comedy lineup to see that the cool queer kids practically rule stand-up these days. It stands to reason that Mae Martin, a queer comedian, would have some funny things to say about trauma. Which, as their fictional agent says in Season 2 of “Feel Good,” Martin’s semi-autobiographical dark romantic comedy on Netflix, is all the rage these days.
Of course, simply being queer and a comedian doesn’t magically confer greatness. Much more important than any label one could foist upon Martin is the fact that they’re both brilliantly funny and courageously honest,...

When Netflix got into the original programming business, it presented itself as a safe space for cancellation-scarred viewers. Netflix shows wouldn’t necessarily run forever, but their creators would at least be given warning to wrap up the story. Eventually, though, the almighty algorithm decreed that long runs were a bad thing — particularly the ones that weren’t aiming for a Stranger Things-sized audience — and the streamer forced many shows to wind down with a third season. And now, we’re in a moment where Netflix has begun abruptly...

Jordan Stephens and Derren Nesbitt in Tucked
In the first part of my recent interview with Jamie Patterson we talked about how he developed the ideas behind Tucked and set out to turn the story of an ageing drag queen with cancer into an uplifting tale of friendship and self-discovery. In part two we discuss his amazing cast, starting with Derren Nesbitt, who has never had a role like Jackie before.
“I used to date his step-daughter, who’s a wonderful make-up artist,” Jamie says, explaining how they know each other. “He was retired and he came out of retirement a few years ago to do a film I was working on called Home For Christmas. A lovely performance, but he was doing it was a favour for me. While he was on set I said ‘Actually, I’ve got this idea for this movie about this ageing drag queen who gets this bad news,...

Derren Nesbitt is terrific as an ageing club performer who rescues a young singer from homophobic attackers
An ageing drag queen gets a diagnosis of terminal cancer and makes a new friend in this touching, unexpectedly funny end-of-life drama set in Brighton, with a terrific performance by 83-year-old Derren Nesbitt. It must have taken real guts for him to let the camera in so close, following him naked into the shower and under the harsh lights.
Nesbitt plays Jack Collins, who initially looks like retired brickie. But, under a towering beehive wig, Jack becomes Jackie, the main attraction at a drag club, performing mildly offensive un-pc comedy routines that go down a storm with the millennial audience. Jack’s diagnosis comes after he collapses on stage. But the show must go on and, a few nights later, he rescues a young singer, Faith, from homophobic attackers.

Jamie Patterson at work
Derren Nesbitt stars as an ageing drag queen recently diagnosed with cancer who takes Jordan Stephens’ young non-binary performer under his wing in Jamie Patterson’s Tucked, a small film with a big heart which has secured a cinema release after charming audiences at festivals around the world. The now very much in-demand director kindly took time out to talk to me whilst in transit, hiding in a station concourse Paperchase so we could hear each other speak. I asked if he was excited about all the positive attention the film has received so far.
Tucked
“Yes!” he exclaims. “It’s been mad. It’s been one of those films. It was my tenth film as a writer/director and it just seemed to connect with an audience in a way that none of my other movies have. I don’t know what that is – if...
