Guillaume Suon (40) is a French-Cambodian filmmaker. Trained for 7 years by filmmaker and producer Rithy Panh at the Bophana Center for Archives in Phnom Penh, Guillaume Suon also holds a master's degree in documentary filmmaking from La Fémis, a master's degree in journalism from IPJ Paris - Dauphine, and has been a laureate of the editing and directing workshops at the Berlin, Sundance, Busan, and IDFA festivals.
His films have been selected and awarded at numerous international festivals. His work has also been showcased in many museums and research centers (MOMA, Lincoln Center, American Museum of Natural History, EHESS, CNRS...).
Since 2022, Suon has been a reader and substitute member on several committees at the CNC (French National Center for Cinema and Moving Image).
