Okay I admit it, I'm a showtunes queen! I love Broadway and musicals, good musicals, that is. And I think "Jersey Boys" is a good musical. The rugs-to-riches tale of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is captivating and the soundtrack rocks!
And now comes the inevitable movie version, and to be honest? It actually looks good! Director Clint Eastwood added some grittiness to the Broadway gloss and voila -- a musical that will steal our hearts this summer, June 20th to be exact! Oh, plus points for adding Christopher Walken to the mix! Will he sing? Or at least dance?
Take a look at the new "Jersey Boys" trailer and then sing with the soundtrack:
Here's the official synopsis:

Early on in Open Windows, Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo invites easy comparisons to Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, but then, pardon the expression, he throws them out the window. What begins as an homage quickly morphs into a thriller with its own unique, wildly enjoyable, and altogether satisfying identity. The creatures who inhabit this cheeky cyber-sphere are the usual suspects found in techno-thrillers. Nick Chambers (Elijah Wood) is the perfect patsy, an innocent citizen caught up in events that spiral out of control in a heartbeat. Jill Goddard (Sasha Grey) is the 21st-century version of Grace Kelley, a glamorous actress with an exploitable personal life. She is also easily-positioned as Nick's imaginary girlfriend, though he would never dare to say that out loud. He worships her...

Stepping out for an evening of entertainment for all ages, Jessica Alba and Christina Milian were in the house for “Disney on Ice Presents Rockin’ Ever After” in Los Angeles last night (December 12).
The “Dip It Low” songstress looked to be in good spirits as she and daughter Violet mingled at the Staples Center with the likes of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and “Modern Family” star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons.
Meanwhile, Jessica went for an early 1990s grunge look with a black leather jacket and red plaid flannel shirt with a black knit hat.
Of her fashion tendencies, Alba told press, “I've always loved Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelley, because they're timeless and chic. And I love Kate Moss, because she's rock n roll, and I'm a bit of a nerd about it. Daria, the cartoon character on TV, is also one of my fashion icons.”...

Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh; Jessica Biel as Vera Miles, the character in Psycho that no one cares about; and Helen Mirren is Hitchcock's wife, Alma, who was never ever recognized in her lifetime because Hitch liked blondes and also was a man. These are the first pictures.
Hitchcock notoriously obsessed over his ice-princess leading ladies (he had a thing for very cold, icey, blond women with no personality, like Grace Kelley) and I am sure that pissed off Alma at some point. Hopefully we'll see that in this film, Hitchcock which is based on the 1990 book Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho by Stephen Rebello (not to be confused with the much-worse-looking TV film The Girl about Hitchcock and his obsession with Tippi Hedrom in The Birds).
The official synopsis reads that: Hitchcock is a love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century,...

Despite the fact that the Beverly Hilton is currently in the news for being the site of Whitney Houston's tragic death, the historic hotel has been making headlines for 57 years — the vast majority of those being positive news stories — ever since its opening in 1955. The Who's Who in Hollywood hot spot has played host to the most A-list guests and star-studded events for nearly six decades by holding more than 175 red-carpet events annually.
The Hotel's first major event was coincidentally the first-ever Grammy Awards in 1959. Best Female Vocalist Ella Fitzgerald took home two awards that year, along with Domenico Modugno, Henry Mancini, and Ross Bagdasarian (made famous by "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)").
