Dan Grixti has been in the film business since 2007, starting his
career in British television working closely with Sally Head (former
drama commissioner of the BBC) as part of her production company, Sally
Head Productions. After working in television, Dan moved into the world
of independent filmmaking to excerise his passion for crafting
beautiful images. Since then he has been credited in a number of award
winning films, including Director of Photography for the
internationally acclaimed 'Take Me To The Front' (2013). In 2013, Dan
teamed up with a small group of London based filmmakers to form the
production company Square Eyed Pictures who have shot a number of
international films and documentaries in India, Ghana, Australia, and
currently South Korea. Dan is also a pioneer in a number of technical
fields, most notably the area of 'Point of View' cinematography. He has
designed a number of specialised camera rigs that mimic the way in
which human beings perceive reality through vision. This technology has
been applied across films and music videos alike. Dan has also had a
great deal of success in the world of music videos, working with
artists such as Joss Stone and The Mission. This medium has been a
platform to experiment and develop some of the more cutting edge and
experimental cinematographic techniques. Currently, Dan is developing a
film project to be shot in India in 2015 as is working as a Director of
Photography in TV commercials. (2014)
