Ray Liotta‘s death last May came as a result of heart and respiratory failure, according to new documents obtained by TMZ.
It was reported on May 26 that the actor had passed away in his sleep in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming the movie Dangerous Waters. Doctors have since cited “respiratory insufficiency” and fluid in the lungs (aka pulmonary edema), paired with acute heart failure, as the culprits. Liotta was 67 years old.

Since establishing The Weinstein Company from the ashes of his Miramax brand in 2005, Harvey Weinstein has continued to use the awards season to the benefit of his film releases. It was bumpy going at first with failed attempts like "Bobby" and "The Great Debaters," but with 2008's "The Reader," things finally started to pick back up. Eight Best Picture nominations and two back-to-back wins later, he's out in front with another project right in his wheelhouse: "The Imitation Game." The Alan Turing biopic, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, landed eight Oscar nominations in January and has grossed $134 million worldwide. And it's adding theaters still, using the fuel of the circuit to stoke the fire at the box office. Meanwhile, Weinstein has turned up the heat on the campaign surrounding the film, calling for recognition of issues inherent in the material, as he's done with everything from "Silver Linings Playbook...

What do you get when you cross bio-engineering, strippers, deadly fish, gold-flake cinnamon drank, and lovable losers? You get awesome, is what you get. This particular serving of awesome is called 'Piranha Sharks', and it comes to you from the mind of one Leigh Scott. Sigh. Yes, 'Transmorphers' Leigh Scott. No, this is not 'Transmorphers'. Relax.
Piranha Sharks are bio-engineered creatures, that are repackaged, and targeted towards kids, as the year's hot new Christmas item. However, when the animals make their way into the New York water system, it falls on Jackson (Collin Galyean), and his pest-killing buddies (John Wells, and Josh Hammond) to get rid of them, before they destroy the city.
The writing works first, to set this film apart. It takes a shot at many of the cheesy indie cliches, with hilarious class, and accuracy.

While the makers of cheesy shark movies keep trying to come up with the next big thing, writer-director Leigh Scott is thinking smaller with his new horror-comedy Piranha Sharks. We’re gonna need a bigger aquarium!
Forget about that Sharknado soon to strike New York City, great white sharks the size of piranhas are swarming the Big Apple in this tongue-in-jaws nature gone amok flick from Leigh Scott (The Penny Dreadful Picture Show, Dorothy & the Witches of Oz).
Josh Hammond, John Wells, Noel Thurman, and Jessica Sonneborn are amongst those forced to contend with the man-eating, mutant, pint-sized apex predators that get loose in the plumbing of New York City.
Synopsis:
Great white sharks bio-engineered to be the size of piranhas with the purpose of living in rich people's exotic aquariums terrorize New York City when they get into the water supply and do what great white sharks do best.

How to Make a Movie (and get it into Walmart) for $2,700
In 2010, my partner and I began work on a script called “Overtime.” It started as a pet project...something for us to do on the side while we made our living shooting and editing commercial video at a Louisville, Kentucky production company.
Nearly three years later, that project has grown to something neither Matt nor myself could have ever imagined at the start. “Overtime,” a hit-man vs. zombie-aliens action/comedy starring Tna Impact Wrestling’s Al Snow, was released on Blu-ray...

Okay, kids! Overtime: The Movie (review) releases to the masses on January 1, 2013, and fans will laugh until their eyes bleed in this latest sliver of horror/sci-fi lunacy.
We recently had the opportunity to set down with WWE Superstar Al Snow and the creative geniuses behind the film - Matt Niehoff and Brian Cunningham.
Amanda Dyar: Overtime stars wrestling legend Al Snow and John Wells as the hit duo Raph and Max. How did you guys go about recruiting these two actors for the roles, and what directing tips did you give the duo that allowed them to work so well together?
Matt Niehoff: As a director, I wish this answer was more exotic. But honestly, John Wells and I used to play in bands together back in our younger years (there was always a debate on who had the bigger arms back then... Now... It's John). Anyway,...
