Actor Grant Gustin, who embodied the DC superhero The Flash in the CW series for almost a decade, has become a fan favorite, so much so that fans wanted him to continue his venture in the DC Extended Universe as well. While Ezra Miller landed the role for the superhero’s silver screen adaptation, many fans feel they didn’t capture the essence of The Flash as effectively as Gustin, particularly when it comes to the superhero’s running style.

Many also found Miller’s running style as the DC superhero kind of awkward. However, Gustin, who seemingly mastered the technique throughout his tenure on the CW show, attributed his smooth and convincing running style to his background in dancing, which has proven invaluable in mastering The Flash’s signature run.

Stephen Amell’s work in Arrow has always been highly regarded. His contribution to the Arrowverse was one that many sought out to be both entertaining and impactful. A key feature of working on shows and movies is the connections that get built not just with the cast and crew but also with the audiences. So much so that because Arrow and Supernatural were being filmed on nearby sets, Amell developed a great friendship with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.

If bonds outside of his own show can be so strong, then there is no need for it to be imagined how deep the bonds of every one of Arrow were. Seeing the care Amell had for his cast and crew, his death sequence should have held value beyond any other, regardless of it being part of a major crossover or not.

Grant Gustin’s The Flash is considered one of the most prominent superhero shows before it ended after 9 seasons in 2023. The Arrowverse show was first announced as a spin-off to Arrow, where Gustin first appeared as Barry Allen.
While Stephen Amell’s Arrow was a significant hit among viewers, the makers were not sure if The Flash would also bear similar results. However, they knew that even if the show failed, they could not afford to lose Gustin, and cleverly planned to pave a way to make him stay in the Arrowverse.

The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths was the Arrowverse's sixth crossover event and aired across five parts from December 2019 - January 2020.
The story played out across episodes of Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, and featured plenty of fan-pleasing cameos. Those included Kevin Conroy as a live-action Batman, Brandon Routh's return as Superman, and Ezra Miller as The Flash (simpler times).
While it was made on a TV budget, Crisis on Infinite Earths received plenty of praise and delivered a much stronger take on the classic comic book story than this year's poorly-received animated movies.
Talking on his personal blog, Arrowverse architect Marc Guggenheim reflected on the event and confirmed there were once plans for the five-part story to receive a theatrical release.

After garnering immense popularity following his appearance in Arrow, Grant Gustin’s Scarlet Speedster received his own standalone series in 2014, often considered the peak of the Arrowverse. We told you earlier this year about Stiletto, an upcoming horror movie from director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) that’s being described as a throwback to the early slashers of the 1980s. We now have an exclusive first look at the film’s villain, “The Stiletto Killer.”
The killer’s mask was created by Jason Baker, famous for designing the mask that Ethan Hawke wore in The Black Phone, and owner of Callosum FX Studios, which is the creative brainchild of legendary special effects master Tom Savini and renowned artist and effects creator Jason Baker himself.
Baker tells Bloody Disgusting in a statement, “Creating the killer’s mask for Samuel Gonzalez Jr. & Gigi Gustin on Stiletto was an absolute blast. I personally drew so much inspiration from the script. The film is a morbidly beautiful mixture of beauty and carnage. And that was the mindset we used in the design.

The co-directors of the British Independent Film Awards (Bifas) have revealed the funding challenges the organisation is facing as it launches the second Springboard programme to support producers.
“We’re facing a very challenging funding environment,” said Amy Gustin and Deena Wallace, co-directors of the organisation, in a joint interview with Screen.
“We have no core funding and the income from the awards doesn’t cover the year-round costs of the organisation. Programmes like Springboard, our Ed&i training, or the post-Covid audience development work that was supported by the BFI Audience Fund were project-based and time-limited.”

American actor Grant Gustin kickstarted his acting career in 2004 while still in high school. He had landed a role in the movie Rain, in which he played the role of a mute young man who helped a man solve the mystery of his wife’s murder with visions he was getting. The director/producer, Neil Grochmal, had said that Gustin would have a great future in acting, and he wasn’t wrong.
Years later, Gustin did what could be regarded as one of the most important roles he has played to date. That role is none other than that of the DC superhero character Barry Allen, popularly known as The Flash. This role catapulted him to fame, and for those wondering if he would ever return as The Flash, he has put forward one condition under which he would do so.

Ezra Miller has been a topic of criticism for a long time, but this time, fans are united as his portrayal of the Flash has been despised by the fans and critics alike. Even in his standalone film in 2023, fans were left dissatisfied with his portrayal of the character as Barry Allen is showcased as a charming and witty character. However, Miller lacks that depth, and following his controversies, DC fans would often nitpick intricate details that would undermine his portrayal.
Ezra Miller as Barry Allen
The DC fans have had enough and begged James Gunn to replace Ezra Miller with Grant Gustin as Barry Allen in his rebooted Dcu. The actor has built a dedicated fan base with his portrayal of The Flash in the TV Series of the same name as they could not watch Miller ruining the popularity of the character.

We told you earlier this week about Stiletto, an upcoming horror movie from director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) that’s being described as a throwback to the early slashers of the 1980s. Bloody Disgusting has now exclusively learned that makeup effects legend Tom Savini and his creative partner Jason Baker designed the killer’s mask for the film!
The duo most recently designed the mask for Ethan Hawke’s sinister “The Grabber” in box office hit The Black Phone, which is getting a sequel from Blumhouse in Summer 2025.
Something elegant and terrifying at the same time.

Yes, it has been suggested that the Arrowverse first took flight with Arrow‘s own October 2012 premiere. But truly, it was 14 months later, on Dec. 4, 2013 — when Barry Allen aka the would-be Flash first set foot in Starling City — that TV’s expanded DC universe started to take shape.
This is where I remind you that when The CW gave a series about Green Arrow a green light, the notion of eventually introducing other standalone hero series was but a gleam in anybody’s eye.

Watch Gustin and McCalla perform the song “Wild” from Water for Elephants in the newly released video above.
The musical, based on the Sara Gruen 2006 novel that was made into a 2011 film that starred Robert Pattinson in the Jacob role, begins previews on Saturday, February 24, at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre. Opening night is Thursday, March 21.
Water For Elephants features a book by Rick Elice and a score by PigPen Theatre Company (The Tale of Despereaux). Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo) directs.
Alliance Theatre production of ‘Water for Elephants’
The casting was announced today by producers Peter Schneider, Jennifer Costello, Grove Entertainment, Frank Marshall, Isaac Robert Hurwitz, and Seth A. Goldstein. Additional casting to be announced soon.
The synopsis: “After losing what matters most, a young man jumps a moving train unsure of where the road will take him and finds a new home with the remarkable crew of a traveling circus, and a life – and love – beyond his wildest dreams. Seen through the eyes of his older self, his adventure becomes a poignant reminder that if you choose the ride, life can begin again at any age.”
Gustin’s stage credits include a touring production of West Side Story. He joined the cast of Glee in the musical series’ third season, portraying Sebastian Smythe, the lead of Dalton Academy’s singing group the Warblers. Film credits include Krystal and Affluenza. The Flash and Aria from Pretty Little Liars get together in this sweet rom-com. The Freevee original film titled Puppy Love is directed by Nick Fabiano and Richard Allen Reid from a screenplay by Gregg Glienna, Peter Stass, and Kristen Guenther. Puppy Love is more enjoyable than a certain big-budget action movie with a stacked cast that came out recently but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Puppy Love is perfect it just means that the aforementioned action movie is that bad.
Puppy Love follows the story of Nicole (Lucy Hale) and Max (Grant Gustin). Nicole is a young independent woman who has put up guards to not let anyone in after a personal tragedy and Max is an extremely introverted man who doesn’t feel comfortable around anyone because of a betrayal amidst the pandemic, which isolated him even more. Fisherman Thurman Gustin shared on Facebook a video of a pink dolphin he spotted while on a boat in Louisiana, captioning the post, “Saw 2 pink dolphins today! So amazing!”
The video features only one of the two dolphins coming up for air while one man points out, “There it is!”
Gustin shared that he was fishing in the Old River when he saw something weird in the water. Then he spotted two pink dolphins going near the other fishing boats. This is the first time he has ever seen a pink dolphin in his 20 years of fishing.
Albino bottlenose dolphins are known to live in that area and have been spotted multiple times by fishermen. One seems to be a frequent visitor and has become somewhat of a local celebrity, earning the name “Pinky.”
Pinky has been spotted multiple times, including in 2017 and 2019 when Pinky was seen with a calf.
