Will Smith delighted Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fans in February when he brought back the popular theme song from the beloved '90s sitcom on the Ellen DeGeneres Show – and, despite the flicker of hope Thursday that the show might get the full reboot treatment, Smith has another story in mind.
TVLine originally reported that a revival of Fresh Prince was is in the very early stages of development and would put a new spin on the story while maintaining the series' original spirit.
Instead, People has learned that Smith's production company is, in fact, focused on a new fish-out-of-water comedy on which Smith,...

Southpaw
Written by Kurt Sutter
Directed by Antoine Fuqua
U.S., 2015
All boxing films come down to three storylines, or all three wrapped in one—get beaten, get angry, get back to the top. Eighty years have passed since Wallace Beery made The Champ and Southpaw doesn’t try to rewrite the formula. It’s not a surprise, Barton Fink broke himself that way. Billy Hope (Jake Gyllenhaal) is the light heavyweight champion of the world, but it wasn’t always the high life. Billy was raised dumped from one foster home to the next because of his mother’s incarceration, but he eventually met his wife Maureen (Rachel McAdams) in a Hell’s Kitchen orphanage and turned it all around.
Jake Gyllenhaal doesn’t look like your typical boxer like say Robert DeNiro, Mark Wahlberg or Will Smith, but doubts about his ability to perform disappear immediately as the film opens.

Justin Bieber is practically family with the Kardashian-Jenners. He's hung out with them on a sweet pool day in La, cozied up to matriarch Kris at a star-studded birthday bash in Ibiza, partied with Kendall at Coachella, and even bro'd out with Kanye at his birthday party. Still, there's no denying the singer has a friendly competition brewing with the famous family on Instagram. The coveted prize: holding the record for the most "liked" photo ever. Other stars have thrown their pictures into the ring - Ariana Grande made an impressive effort in 2014 - but it all really comes down to Justin, Kim, and Kendall, and Justin is this close to getting back on top. Keep reading to see the evidence. Hanging With Uncle Will A photo posted by Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) on Aug 14, 2013 at 4:07pm Pdt Back in 2013, Justin easily scored big by hanging out with Will Smith.

[Update] Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson proved he can open a tentpole film all by his not-so-little lonesome with San Andreas's estimated, beefy $54.6M domestic take. That $14K per theater average, in 3,777 venues, was much better than the predicted $40M for the Warner Bros. disaster flick. 44% of that was attributed to 3D and, with an A- CinemaScore, it looks like the film will have domestic box-office aftershocks for some weeks to come. But the U.S wasn't the only place that the tremors were felt. Overseas, in 60 markets, San Andreas ranked #1 in 55 of those markets, opening with an international cume of $60M (on 14.5k screens) resulting in a worldwide cume of $113.2M.The real winner in this story, however, is Johnson. San Andreas is the best opening for him where he was not part of an ensemble, such as the Fast and Furious or the G.I. Joe flicks. Last year's...

He grew up in Hollywood, but Jaden Smith isn't exactly spoiled. In fact, his dad says, the 16-year-old's wardrobe consists of one pair of shoes, three pairs of pants and five shirts - that's it. "He has refused to be a slave to money," Will Smith tells Esquire of his son's thriftiness. "I so respect that. The younger generation is less of an ownership generation, anyway." Though he eventually became the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smith, 46, grew up less fortunate than Jaden, who's following in his father's footsteps as an actor. "It's such an interesting thing to watch, because I came from a middle-class background,...

Megan Ellison‘s Annapurna Pictures has come on to finance Alexander Payne‘s next film “Downsizing,” which has enlisted Alec Baldwin, Jason Sudeikis and Oscar host Neil Patrick Harris to join Matt Damon and Reese Witherspoon, an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.
