After being saved by the “Ding Dong Keep It On” bell on “New York Night,” Medusa was on a mission to prove she deserved her spot in Wednesday night’s “The Masked Singer” finale. She clawed her way back into the competition, taking out Gargoyle and Mantis in the “Battle of the Saved.” Next, the snake-headed songstress belted her way through the “Quarter Finals (British Invasion Night)” and sent home California Roll in the “Semi-Finals,” the quintet that originally defeated her.
With just Macaw standing between Medusa and the Golden Mask trophy, she wowed panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger with performances of “Elastic Heart” by Sia and “Welcome to the Black Parade” by My Chemical Romance. She said after the latter, “This means so much to me, and, the fact that I got to end my journey with my sister’s favorite song, and,...

It was déjà vu for David Archuleta on Wednesday night’s finale of “The Masked Singer.” The 32-year old performer who had been masquerading as Macaw all season finished in second place to Medusa, the same position he landed on Season 7 of “American Idol” when he lost to David Cook. His emotional journey of self-discovery ended with performances of “Hold Back the River” by James Bay and “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen. Panelists Nicole Scherzinger and Ken Jeong correctly guessed the musician’s identity, but Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg were off the mark.
“We knew we were coming on this, going out of our comfort zone and doing something different,” David told host Nick Cannon during his unmasked interview. “I didn’t know it was going to be so much fun. It’s just been healing being able to be the Macaw.”

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched the Season 9, episode 9 of “The Masked Singer,” which aired April 12 on Fox.
It was “Masked Singer in Space Night,” but “The Masked Singer” could have also been celebrating “’90s Night.” That’s because the two celebrities unmasked on Wednesday’s episodes were both TV stars from that era: Melissa Joan Hart (of “Clarissa Explains It All” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” fame) and Alicia Witt. Hart was revealed to be Lamp, while Witt was Dandelion.
Witt had won the previous week as Dandelion, but her journey ended here. For Dandelion, panelist Ken Jeong guessed Witt right. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Milla Jovovich. Robin Thicke went with Sara Bareilles and Nicole Scherzinger named Zooey Deschanel.
For Lamp, McCarthy Wahlberg, Thicke and Scherzinger all got it right with Hart. Jeong went rogue with Michelle Williams.

Warning: Major Spoilers ahead for Wednesday night’s episode of “The Masked Singer”
The lights went out for Lamp on “The Masked Singer” Wednesday night, sending her back to Earth on “outer space night.” But she’s not too worried about it. According to the actress under the mask, she made sure to fully enjoy it, knowing that the experience “is kind of like your wedding day.”
The bittersweet news is, Lamp wasn’t the only one to get sent home this week. Dandelion went with her, and the women under the masks were revealed to be Melissa Joan Hart and Alicia Witt, respectively. For the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” star, the most helpful advice for being on the show came from her husband.
“You know, my husband actually went with me to kind of hold my hand through the rehearsal process, and he just gave me the best advice,...
