John Aslett was born in Harold Wood Hospital, Essex. He was born to Shelley Dyer and Timothy Aslett. He
grew up in the town of Hornchurch with his mother and father until they
split up and John was visiting them both every day to the present day.
He discovered his film making talent by talking to some friends on the
bus about making his own films. His friend Ross Martin, according to
John's YouTube video, gave him the inspiration for his first short
film, "Dead Man's Forest". Dead Man's Forest was originally going to be
called "The Stutter Cutter", but was changed later on due to John's
other friend Sam Jeffs told him to change it to the present name,
because the actual forest is actually called Dead Man's Forest. John
now has a new YouTube channel. He now has his own series and more films coming soon.
