The stunning star wore her hair down in soft touchable waves that had so much body! We got the lowdown on how to recreate the look straight from her stylist! Celebrity hairstylist artist Peter Butler created Claire Danes’ elegant yet natural waves that were inspired by Veronica Lake and her 'magical marigold strapless Lavin dress.' Achieving Old Hollywood hair relies on creating texture while preventing flyaways and frizz. Start by evenly applying 10 drops of Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control from the roots to the ends on damp hair. Next apply a handful of Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse and comb through hair to uniformly distribute. "Veronica Lake always had a strong side part, which is what made her look so sexy," says Peter. Create a deep side part a. Use a 1-inch barrel curling iron, and in small sections, wrap hair forward around the barrel towards your face.

Why is the Hollywood actor reading Adrian Mole and getting to grips with British drinking culture? Emma Brockes finds out
In the TV film Temple Grandin, Claire Danes plays a woman with autism who succeeds against the odds in a world hostile to her needs. It's a synopsis to make the heart sink: the awards-grab nature of roles in which the extremely privileged play the severely disadvantaged; the suspicion that autism is, from a television perspective, the disadvantage du jour; and the sheer improbability of the story on which it is based – the eponymous Grandin came to prominence for inventing a system in Us slaughterhouses in which the cows, with whom she strongly identified, were more humanely treated. And so the most surprising thing about the film is that, in spite of all this, it's very good.
Danes wanted to do it because she was tired, she says, of playing the ingénue.

(S08E05) This was the first season of 'Project Runway' in which the contestants were broken into only two teams. This episode allowed the editors to have "The Gretchen Show" slowly implode during the judging, as she spent the whole time defending her clothes, then trying her best to distance herself from the whole collection. There is an editor out there who hates Gretchen and loved watching her fall apart.
The challenge was really simple: The teams had to create a six-piece collection that would follow the trends of Fall 2010. Each collection would be given two inspirations, one concept, one textile and a team budget of $1,000. They also had the help of Peter Butler from Garnier to guide them with their hair. Each person had to pick the next person in their team, very similar to the now-standard 'Survivor' schoolyard pick.
