Exclusive: The first round of public impeachment hearings wrapped up on November 21, but today saw the debut of a new video venture examining the process to potentially extradite Donald Trump from the Oval Office.
Moving in where perhaps Meet The Press fears to tread, this morning The Circus co-host John Heilemann and former Acting Solicitor General and NBC/MSNBC analyst Neal Katyal launch The I-Word on The Recount site and app.
As the name more than suggests, the 15-minute weekly series will focus on the ever-expanding House of Representatives inquiry into the former Celebrity Apprentice host’s attempts to allegedly strong arm the newly installed Ukrainian government to start probing ex-vp Joe Biden and his family. As one would expect from Game Change co-author, Wu-Tang Clan megafan and The Recount editor-in-chief Heilemann, the first original content series from the fairly recently premiering mobile platform aims to stir up the partisan Kool-Aid

After a month and a half, Viceland is pulling the plug on “Vice Live,” its weeknight live show, due to low ratings.
“Vice Live” aired Monday through Thursday from Vice’s Brooklyn headquarters, originally launching as a two-hour nightly showcase of all things Vice. Viceland later cut the show to one hour a night, but “Vice Live” never managed to catch on in pop culture. The show premiered on Feb. 25 to just 77,000 viewers, making it one of cable’s least-watched shows in primetime.
The final episode of “Vice Live” aired last Thursday. Viceland president Guy Slattery announced the cancellation to staffers on Monday. A spokesperson referred Variety to an internal memo sent by Slattery.

Viceland is going live in primetime next month with Vice Live, a two-hour variety special that will air four nights a week, Monday through Thursday, starting Monday, February 25 at 9 Pm.
Vice Live will broadcast live out of Vice’s Brooklyn headquarters, covering the day’s hottest topics and trends, led by rising comedian/actress Marie Faustin, writer/comedian/internet provocateur Zack Fox, comedian/director/photographer Sandy Honig, and rapper/host Fat Tony.
The show itself will continually be experimenting and evolving in real-time, according to Viceland. Any given episode could feature comedy pieces, celebrity visits, short-form videos, and field pieces and check-in’s from Vice’s outposts across the globe. Social media also will be a key part of Vice Live as viewers interact with the show in real-time.
Vice Live fills the void left by Desus & Mero, which formerly aired nightly on Viceland, following the hosts’ move to Showtime.

Here’s how Viceland described the hybrid concept in a Thursday announcement to media:
The show itself will continually be experimenting and evolving in real-time: any given episode could feature comedy pieces, celebrity visits, short-form videos, and field pieces and check-in’s from Vice’s outposts across the globe. Social media will factor into “Vice Live” constantly as viewers interact with the show in real-time, creating a 360-degree platform-agnostic experience that mirrors the fast pace of a younger audiences’ media appetite.

During his TCA panel for his Viceland show “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes,” Tom Arnold hammered President Trump early and often, calling out the president for consistently lying, including about his supposed germaphobia.
“How many germaphobes raw dog that many porn stars?”
Arnold asked a room of TV critics. Trump’s supposed germaphobia has come up numerous times, most notably after the infamous “Steele Dossier” was published. The hard-to-believe allegation, which has never been confirmed, posited that Trump was secretly recorded by the Russian government while watching prostitutes urinate on a hotel bed in Moscow during a trip there in 2013.

“I don’t give a sh*t about the 40%,” Tom Arnold said at TCA when asked if he thinks his new series The Hunt For The Trump Tapes will change the minds of President Donald Trump’s loyalists.
“I want to do this until he resigns. He’s a crazy person putting the country on the precipice of war…Things are going on right now that affect our world and that are scary,” Arnold ranted during a wild stream-of-consciousness Q&A for his program. “And, for some reason, I’m in a position to do something and it’s working and I will continue to do this until that guy resigns and the world is a little bit safer. And it is going to happen.”
Every day since Trump’s disastrous Helsinki summit with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin, “big things are breaking about that knucklehead, and he’s acting even crazier.
