Emily Steele (born Emily Abriola) was born in
Syracuse, New York on April 19th. She grew up in Liverpool, a suburb of Syracuse. She
is a graduate of Niagara University, where she received a degree in
English education. She received her master's from State University of
New York at Buffalo. Her sister, Elizabeth Fern, is a well-known actress in
the Central New York theater community.
Emily Steele and her husband, singer/songwriter Ender Bowen, own Joint Custody Productions in
Nashville, Tennessee and are co-founders of the sketch comedy troupe,
Common Sense for Dummys. The couple welcomed their daughter in
February of 2014 and their son in November of 2017.
