Ras Kassa

Ras Kassa is a seasoned filmmaker who is renowned for his revolutionary content in the world of television, film, and music video.
He co-founded the first Jamaican cable station, Music Plus, and was the creative consultant for local networks, Jamaica News Network (JNN) and Reggae Entertainment Television (RE TV).
Ras Kassa has to his credit over 100 music videos for a multitude of Grammy-winning artists including Willie Nelson, Nas and Damian Marley. His work has been featured on international networks such as MTV, BET, VH1, CNN, BBC and National Geographic.
Ras Kassa has produced television commercials and infomercials for a number of international brands like Pepsi, Burger King and Nike. He was also selected by MTV to direct their short films, "Not to Me" and "Tribes" as part of the network's AIDS awareness campaign. Due to their engaging storylines and amazing cinematography the films went viral.
Ras Kassa was commissioned by the Jamaican Government to conceptualize and direct a music video commemorating the nation's 50th year of Independence. In 2023 he focused on the production of a documentary tribute to Jamaica in celebration of the island's numerous contributions to the world.
