Rosa Bosch(III)

Barcelona-born Rosa Bosch is based in Havana and London.
She began her career as a curator of Latin American films at the AFI before taking on the role of Deputy Director of the London Film Festival/ National Film Theatre where she remained for 10 years. Rosa moved to the industry side as co-founder of the Mexican company Tequila Gang. During this time she was involved with El Evangelio de las Maravillas (Divine) by Arturo Ripstein, Un Embrujo (Under a Spell) by Carlos Carrera, Buena Vista Social Club by Wim Wenders, Calle 54 by Fernando Trueba, El
Espinazo del Diablo (The Devil's Backbone) by Guillermo del Toro, La Fiebre del Loco (Loco Fever) by Andres Wood, Lost in la Mancha by Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe, and Amores Perros by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Nine Queens by Fabian Bielinsky.
In 2003, she established and was Co-Managing Director of HBO Films in London, where she handled American Splendor and Elephant (double winner of the Palme D'Or and Best Director at Cannes) in addition to Real Women Have Curves by Patricia Cardoso, My House in Umbria by Richard Loncraine and The Holy Girl (La Nina Santa ) by Lucrecia Martel.
She has acted as producer's representative for films such as Alice Rohrwacher's debut Corpo Celeste, Juan Carlos Rulfo's Carriere, 250 Meters and the Televisa/Lynn Fainchtein Hecho en Mexico by Duncan Bridgeman.
Rosa has produced a wide range of filmed musical events including TV concerts : Orchestra Baobab, Toumani Diabate and Bjork and art films Polaris and The Chronograph by BAFTA winning video artist Tal Rosner, commissioned to inaugurate the 2011 opening of the Miami New World Symphony building designed by Frank Gehry.
Drawing on her long relationship with Cuba, she now runs Havana-based production company CubanStar which develops new content and provides film services on the island, recently for HBO's Boardwalk Empire, House of Lies, Vanity Fair/Annie Leibovitz and Chanel amongst others. Cuban Star and is developing features about Graham Greene and Winston Churchill.
Rosa has been a frequent tutor at EAVE, Media Business School, Screen Training Ireland, Hay Festival and is a member of the European Film Academy and BAFTA. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
