Neca has been turning the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into classic Universal Monsters for a mashup toy line, and the latest figure in the line has been revealed this week.
Shown off with an official image gallery (below), the next release in Neca’s Universal Monsters x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure line is Raphael as the Wolf Man!
Neca previews, “This continuing line pays tribute to the world’s most famous turtles and Universal’s icons of horror. This 7” scale action figure reimagines Raphael as the tragically doomed Wolf Man, and he’s packed with accessories. This fully articulated figure includes two sais that fit into his belt (one of which is styled after the movie’s wolf head cane), two interchangeable heads, swappable hands, and animal trap. Comes in collector-friendly window box packaging with opening flap featuring an all-new illustration by Daniel Horne.”

Mumbai, Sept 1 (Ians) The latest outing of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ with the film ‘Mutant Mayhem’ is a comic one. As so much comedy was involved, this led to a bunch of improvisation, with Post Malone voicing Ray Fillet who ended up singing the character’s name throughout the movie as his only line.
Director Jeff Rowe, recalling the process, said with a smile: “We were desperate to have Ray Fillet in this movie because he’s one of our favorite characters. But we couldn’t figure out what he would do in the film. I had this idea that he’d be like Matt Damon in Team America, where he just had the one line he’d say over and over.”
He further mentioned: “At the same time, there were conversations going on that Post Malone might be interested in doing something in our film. So I said, ‘Would...

Mumbai, Aug 26 (Ians) ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem’ director Jeff Rowe has said he wanted to capture the imagery of teenage drawings of the Turtles in the movie.
Describing the visual design of the animated film that released in India on Friday, August 25, Rowe said: “We just wanted it to look like teenage drawings. You know, the kind of drawings you did when you were in high school that have weird shapes and bad perspective but lovingly rendered in places. And we’re always sincere.”
When he was creating the art and the world for the film, Rowe’s idea was to make a movie that looked not slick and polished like typical CGI art, but a more messy, fun and unpredictable style which would also showcase both the nature of the story and its heroes.
Seth Rogen, the film’s producer, loved the concept after seeing the wild lines,...

One of the most foundational pillars of horror also happens to be one of its more nebulously defined subgenres: the creature feature. At its most ubiquitous of definitions, the creature feature is simply a horror movie in which a monster plays a prominent role as the primary antagonist; the term says it all. It’s the creature part that’s loose for interpretation, of course.
A creature feature could be anything from carnivorous aliens from space to manmade monsters that turn on their makers, and everything in between. Often, a creature feature highlights nature running amok. This week’s streaming picks are dedicated to the horror movies that bring the monster mayhem in various ways, but all showcase excellent practical effects.
More specifically, this week belongs to underseen creature features that deserve more attention. As always, here’s where you can stream them this week.

Growing up watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 80’s cartoons, my expectations were very high going into this. The main reason being the creative minds behind this film namely Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg said in various interviews that the ‘teenage’ aspect of the characters is what stuck with them the most and they plan to focus more on that. This made a lot of sense since the recent live-action films showed the turtles as being goofy adults and they sounded more grown up. There are a lot of aspects of this film I liked a lot but there are a few others that I did not like at all.
First of all, the animation is stunningly gorgeous and feels very fresh and unique. It’s the same feeling everyone got when they watched Into the Spider-verse for the first time. The action sequences were also very good and expressed...

Paramount’s animated reboot “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” doesn’t hit theaters until August, but the film made a splash on Monday at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival where it debuted to a rousing reception complete with a six-minute standing ovation. The crowd’s applause was so strong, in fact, that director Jeff Rowe was dragged back onstage to take it all in.
“Being in the room and feeling all the reactions and hearing all the laughter was amazing, but what really stood out to me was to see our movie received and appreciated in that way by a lot of people who really love and care about animation,” Rowe told TheWrap in a statement.
The cut screened at Annecy had just a few scenes of rough animation but was otherwise complete (including a score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross). Those in the audience included “The Mitchells vs. the Machines...
