Vanderpump Rules star Raquel Leviss can proceed with her eavesdropping and invasion of privacy claims against co-star and ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval after a judge ruled Friday that her lawsuit adequately alleges she considered their intimate FaceTime communications “contemporaneous” and “confidential,” meaning she never expected him to record and save them.
Sandoval had challenged the claims in a demurrer motion, arguing that Leviss made the videos herself and voluntarily shared them with him during their secret affair while he was living with his then-girlfriend Ariana Madix, another cast member of the show.

Andy Cohen is wasting no time in responding after Brandi Glanville accused him of sexual harassment.
Glanville’s lawyers, Bryan J. Freedman and Mark Geragos sent a letter to NBCUniversal, Warner Bros, and Shed Media on Thursday, which found The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star accusing Cohen of sending an inappropriate recording.
The letter claimed Glanville had been “a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen,” Page Six reports.
It went on to detail a video that was reportedly sent to Glanville in 2022, which featured an “obviously inebriated” Cohen telling her of “his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime.”
Cohen shared his side of events on Thursday afternoon with a statement on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The Watch What Happens Live host said the video included Below Deck and The Traitors alum Kate Chastain.

“Dr. Phil” has laid off 25 several staffers ahead of production for its upcoming Season 21. The show cited cost-cutting measures as its reasoning for the layoffs, which mostly affected production members.
“Going into Season 21, we streamlined production to ensure longevity,” a series spokesperson told TheWrap. “As is typical of this process there were some roles we discovered that we could reduce yet still deliver our dynamic, forward-thinking program.”

The CBS show, which will return Sept. 12, made headlines in the spring after a dozen current and former employees alleged a toxic workplace that is dominated by verbal abuse, intimidation and racism, as reported by BuzzFeed News. “’Dr. Phil’ — the show about mental health where everybody who works on it has terrible mental health because our work conditions were really bad,” one former employee said. The “Dr. Phil” talk show has again been accused of fostering a “toxic” workplace environment, this time in a lengthy article published Thursday by BuzzFeed News. A dozen current or former employees accused top producers of abusive behavior toward staff, fostering racist stereotypes both onscreen and off, and unethical treatment of guests — including a charge that one employee was instructed to tell a guest not to take prescription medication before going on air “because they wanted her to look unstable and quote-unquote, ‘crazy.'”
Phil McGraw denied the accusations through his attorney, H. Patrick Morris. Executive producer Carla Pennington, who was also accused of unprofessional behavior along with other senior-level producers, also denied the accusations through an attorney, Bryan J. Freedman.
“It’s a clickbait story because Dr. Phil sells tickets,” Morris said in a statement provided to TheWrap. “I happen to know BuzzFeed was offered dozens of current and...

Justin Hurwitz, the Oscar-winning composer of the score to “La La Land,” sued William Morris Endeavor on Monday, alleging that the agency cheated him out of the profits of a series of live performances based on the film.
In the suit, Hurwitz alleges that WME had a conflict of interest because it produced the shows while also serving as Hurwitz’s agent. The suit alleges that WME abused its relationship with Hurwitz to obtain the license to produce the shows from Lionsgate, and then repeatedly refused to let Hurwitz conduct the performances because “there’s not enough money.”
“Hurwitz found himself in the absurd position of being denied the opportunity to work by his own talent agent on a project in which his talent agent was supposedly representing him,” the suit states. “As a result, the talent-talent agency relationship had been turned upside down.”

A judge’s tentative ruling Thursday will allow Michael Jackson’s estate to continue its $100 million lawsuit against HBO for airing the documentary “Leaving Neverland.”
U.S. District Court Judge George Wu is expected to issue a final decision at the end of September.
The Jackson estate filed the lawsuit against HBO in February on the grounds that the “Leaving Neverland” documentary violated the terms of a non-disparagement clause of a 1992 agreement that granted HBO the right to air video from his “Dangerous” tour.
HBO filed a motion in August asking that the estate’s lawsuit be dismissed, citing the First Amendment. The documentary details accusations by Wade Robson and James Safechuck that Jackson sexually abused them when they were children.
“The estate will never stop until justice has been obtained,” said Bryan J. Freedman, a representative for the Jackson estate.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated with an additional statement from the Jackson estate.
The Michael Jackson estate and HBO may be headed to public arbitration in their dispute over the “Leaving Neverland” documentary after a federal judge Thursday declined HBO’s request to throw out the case.
The late pop star’s estate sued HBO after the documentary, which profiles James Safechuck and Wade Robson, who said they were sexually abused by Jackson as boys, first aired earlier this year. It claimed the network in airing the film violated a non-disparagement agreement from a 1992 concert film made during Jackson’s “Dangerous” tour.
Federal Judge George Wu on Thursday issued a tentative ruling denying HBO’s request to dismiss the case. He’s expected to make a final ruling by the end of the month, Variety reported. HBO attorney Theodore Boutrous claimed the Jackson estate had filed the...
