Informally known as Hiatus×Hiatus, the Hunter×Hunter manga is one of the biggest enigmas from that world. The series was started by Yoshihiro Togashi back in 1998, and it is still ongoing, although the series has had so many health-related hiatuses that there is only a handful of hopefuls who think that the manga is actually going to be finished and that Togashi will be able to tell his story as he wanted to tell it, without rushing it or shortening it. While the series restarted relatively recently, the publication schedule was all but regular, and the series soon ended on another hiatus.
But, a recent Tweet by Togashi himself suggests that the manga might come back soon. Based on the picture and the message, it seems that Togashi has recovered enough to continue his work and we only hope that he will have a good streak and that he will...

Created, written, and drawn by Makoto Yukimura, Vinland Saga is a historical epic and a work of true genius. While many series rely on high-stakes action to become massive names, Yukimura’s manga cements its status by making its readers appreciate the great storytelling and the emotional depth it features. At first glance, the manga will look like an action series, taking place in ancient Scandinavia of the Viking Age, showcasing how a young Thorfinn seeks revenge on a mercenary who killed his father.

In the late 1990s, he began the serialization of Hunter x Hunter, which later became one of the top-rated anime of all time. But initially, he had thought of a different plot instead of the mentioned anime.

Yoshihiro Togashi will go down in history as one of the most underrated mangaka ever. He had a glorious career but never reached his peak due to his recurring back pain. In the early 1990s, Yu Yu Hakusho was a pretty popular anime, but due to back pain, Togashi sensei had to wrap up his manga hurriedly, thus ending on a different note than he desired.
Hunter x Hunter almost reached the same popularity as the Big Three of anime. Unfortunately, it also suffered the same fate. Gon Freecs’ journey is most likely to remain unfinished. Fans can doubt whether he will reach the end of his journey, but they cannot doubt that he is Ging Freecs’ son. In an interview, Yoshihiro Togashi confirmed a horrifying aspect about Hunter x Hunter’s protagonist.

Hunter x Hunter never followed any morals as such. Yoshihiro Togashi always did what was best for his magnum opus, and he felt that including a moral code with the protagonist would make it like any other Shonen Jump series. Hunter x Hunter follows the journey of a young boy named Gon Freecs, who sets out on a journey to become a hunter and find his father, Ging Freecs.
Gon’s journey took several turns as he made new friends as well as enemies. Yoshihiro Togashi never doubted his protagonist and their decision to change Gon proved to be a massive step for the anime’s popularity. Even popular names like Naruto and One Piece were left behind by Hunter x Hunter after the latter discarded the concept of ‘right proper lad.’

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter had been adapted into an anime twice, yet none of those times was the anime completed. The mangaka has been constantly suffering from back pain and had to take several extended vacations. Every time the fans buckled up for some hunter action, they were left disappointed due to Yoshihiro Togashi’s health conditions.
His previous magnum opus, Yu Yu Hakusho, also faced this problem, but Togashi sensei somehow managed to finish the story in a rushed manner. Unfortunately, Hunter x Hunter is so well written that it cannot have a rushed end. However, Yoshihiro Togashi considered the situation and prepared a backup, which could be used in case something unprecedented happened.

In 2009, Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho, and Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, sat together for an interview. It was to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Naruto and the interview was later shared in the Naruto 10th Anniversary Chronicle Book Mini.

During the interview, Kishimoto talked about what he found interesting about Togashi’s mangas and how one of his characters became the inspiration behind Naruto and his famous shadow clone technique. The climax of "Creed III" brings a whole new visual language to the series. As Adonis (Michael B. Jordan) and Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors) box for the title of world champion, we enter their shared headspace. The crowd disappears and the sounds of their cheering drop out, leaving just the two former friends to confront each other. The imagery becomes surreal: the borders of the ring become prison bars, reflecting Damian's bitterness about how much of his life was wasted in a cell. Throughout the fight, whenever one boxer lands a blow, the scene goes into slow motion emphasizing specific strikes.
The influence for this type of filmmaking is anime action scenes. Jordan, the star of this franchise and now its director too, is the king of the weebs. In an interview with Polygon, Jordan cited his favorite anime, "Naruto Shippuden," as the primary inspiration for the climax of "Creed III." After all,...

If you regularly follow anime at all, you've almost certainly seen something about "Chainsaw Man." Whether it's the 18 million copies of the manga in circulation, cosplayers in simple black suits, or viral art of cute chainsaw dogs, the series has been a runaway train of popularity since it debuted in December 2018.
"Chainsaw Man" follows Denji, a young man saddled with debt whose only friend is a tiny chainsaw-faced devil named Pochita. When Denji is marked more profitable dead than alive by his debtors, Pochita willingly becomes his new heart, and Denji is reborn as the human-devil hybrid Chainsaw Man. That makes him a valuable asset to the Public Safety Devil Hunters, who give Denji a choice: join them and help keep the populace safe from devils or be put down like one.
Now that the anime is finally here, new audiences are getting a chance to find out what all the hype's about.

The most popular manga and anime in the United States hail from a Japanese magazine called Shonen Jump. Shonen Jump comics are often, but not always, long-running serial narratives about a young boy who wants to become the best at a hobby or occupation. To achieve this goal he must train long and hard, face off against rivals who inevitably become friends, and take on even greater challenges. Jump is a notoriously competitive magazine, and series that fail to hit it big immediately are either heavily reworked or canceled. Those that succeed run for dozens upon dozens of volumes, in some cases over one hundred. Which raises the question; how do you tell an effective serialized story that takes place over so many pages?
Jump comics utilize cliffhangers and breakneck pacing to keep the reader's interest, while adding and subtracting characters from the main cast based on frequent popularity polls.

The protagonist of "Hunter x Hunter," Gon, is a lovable nutjob. He is a very loyal and friendly character driven by a desire to find his father, but his reckless ambition to be a successful Hunter gives him an edge. Gon's unpredictable and at times immoral behavior makes him multi-dimensional and exciting. Manga creator Yoshihiro Togashi almost decided to go in a totally different direction with Gon's personality, one that would have completely rerouted the story.
At the beginning of "Hunter x Hunter," Gon leaves his loving foster mother at home to take the Hunter exam. His primary motive is finding his long-lost father, who is traveling the world as a famous Hunter. In order to find him, Gon must also become an extraordinary Hunter. Over time, his motivation becomes focused on maximizing his strength, helping his friends, and going on adventures. He remains honest but doesn't always do the right thing.

Many international viewers probably know filmmaker Kinji Fukasaku for his terrific dystopian action-thriller “Battle Royale,” a movie that blends dark comedy with tragedy and kickstarted a narrative concept that would continue to be frequently utilized in other fictional works. Some may associate him with his campy sci-fi features like “The Green Slime.” Yet, early on, the director gave Japanese audiences viscerally outspoken and bold features. Look no further than his yakuza film series “Battles Without Honor and Humanity,” which tears apart Japan’s most operative crime organizations. The director was never afraid to speak his mind on a matter, even if he were to receive criticism as a result. Fukasaku’s mindset is openly expressed in his haunting anti-war masterpiece “Under the Flag of the Rising Sun.”
