Jace, who was always going to cast Daniel in a role in the film, gave him the option to either play Jerry or Austin. He ended up choosing Jerry because that was the role that Jace now envisioned him playing, something Daniel trusted and supported, and because it was a significantly bigger role compared to that of Austin. Originally, Jerry was more than likely going to be portrayed by either Enrique del Risco or Rafael Mayfield. Austin was eventually played by Daryan Lyew-Ayee and Rafael played Police Officer #1.
