Willie 'El Curro' Champion was born in 1933 in the USA. He was an actor, known for John Wayne's 'the Alamo' (1992). He was married to Teresa Champion. He died on 18 August 2012 in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
For many years, up until his 2012 death, he was the featured Flamenco guitarist for "Fiesta Noche del Rio" performances at San Antonio's Arneson River Theater (famous as the location for the Swimsuit Scene in "Miss Congeniality" [2000]). He passed away a few days after the final show of the 2012 season, a much-loved fixture of the city.
