Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart officially called it quits in 2020, and it sounds like the breakup was difficult for both actors. In a March 8 interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Sprouse detailed some of the more challenging aspects of his romance with his "Riverdale" costar.
"I think if I had loved myself a little more, I probably would have left [my relationship with Lili] a little earlier," Sprouse said. "I just felt like I had to take care of a lot of people around me, which was not good for me. I probably should have exercised a bit more selfishness in that situation."
He also shared that it was difficult to continue working on their show after their relationship ended. "The work thing got difficult because it was hard to suspend all the way we felt about each other and it didn't afford us the luxury of distance to really overcome that," Sprouse said.

“Devotion” adapts the remarkable true story of Jesse Brown and Tom Hudner, Navy pilots following WWII and before The Korean War who had each other’s backs no matter what. Ensign Jesse Brown (Jonathan Majors) was the first African American carrier pilot to serve in the navy. He found his calling from a super young age, realizing it fully when he saw a poster advertising flying for the Navy at Ohio State University. Lieutenant Tom Hudner passed up Harvard to go to the Naval Academy, and he became Jesse’s wingman.
Based on the book by Adam Makos, “Devotion” follows Jesse and Tom’s journey alongside Fighting 32, their assigned Flight Squadron, as tension built following World War II to bleed into The Korean War. Alongside the starring pair, Christina Jackson, Joe Jonas and more appear.

The Los Angeles premiere of “Devotion,” starring Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell, served as both a salute to the legacy and lineage of Korean War heroes Jesse L. Brown, the first African American Navy aviator, and Thomas Hudner, his devoted wingman, as well as a celebration of the familial bonds forged during the shoot.
“This movie, in so many ways, is a family effort,” director Jd Dillard said, introducing the film’s cast and crew before a packed house inside the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood on Tuesday night. “We all moved together like the boys shipping off to war to make this movie.”
Dillard then asked the few dozen descendants of Brown and Hudner in attendance to stand for a round of applause. It’s overwhelming to share these moments with the families, Dillard told Variety on the red carpet, but, he added, “There’s no other way to do it.

"We knew this day might come." "Doesn't make it any easier." Sony Pictures has revealed the final official trailer for Devotion, opening in theaters nationwide later in November. This looks like a must watch on the big screen!! The film is about a pair of U.S. Navy fighter pilots who risk their lives during the Korean War and become some of the Navy's most celebrated wingmen. Devotion tells the true story (the big difference between this and Top Gun!) of Jesse L. Brown, as played by the exceptionally talented Jonathan Majors, a pioneering Black Naval aviator who flew missions during the Korean War (from 1950-1953), and built an unexpected bond with fellow Naval aviator Tom Hudner, played by Glen Powell - who is also in Top Gun Maverick. It also stars Spencer Neville, Christina Jackson, Thomas Sadoski, Joseph Cross, Daren Kagasoff, Serinda Swan, and Joe Jonas. I've been excited to...

“The Winchesters” star Meg Donnelly, who plays Mary Cambell in The CW’s prequel to “Supernatural,” prepped for the role with the same intensity it takes to fight monsters: There were Season 1 binges of the original series, stunt training and even self-taught Latin classes. But the Disney actress also credits Jensen Ackles, who portrayed her future son Dean Winchester for 15 years and serves as the spinoff’s narrator, for getting acquainted with the fantasy universe.
“Jensen on set was so helpful,” Donnelly told TheWrap. “He was there every day on the pilot, and he would give me so much advice — all of us. Little things like when I’m standing next to Drake, since he knew the height difference with Dean and Sam, he’d be like, ‘Just so you know, don’t sink into your hip when you’re standing next to Drake, like always stand tall, so you look taller next to him.

‘American Horror Story’ fails to punch above its weight with a deep, raw idea that’s unfortunately stuck in a shallow episode and grave.
“For a minute. For a thousand years. Forever.”
Horror is full of fascinating figures who make enthralling arguments for why the dead are more valuable than the living and the persecution that frequently follows this philosophy. Titles like Re-Animator, Deadgirl, The Autopsy of Jane Done, and so many others uniquely examine life, death, and the blurred lines in between the two. American Horror Stories’ “Necro” attempts to also bring grief and romance into the equation with this failed experiment that falls short in some seriously tone deaf ways, but still manages to scratch the surface of some compelling ideas.

"What do you want me to do?" "Just be my wingman." Sony Pictures has debuted an incredible full-length official trailer for Devotion, another new intense fighter pilot thriller landing this year - which looks like an amazing follow-up to Top Gun Maverick. The film is about a pair of U.S. Navy fighter pilots who risk their lives during the Korean War and become some of the Navy's most celebrated wingmen. Devotion tells the true story (the big difference between this and Top Gun!) of Jesse L. Brown, as played by Jonathan Majors, a pioneering Black Naval aviator who flew missions during the Korean War (1950-1953), and built an unexpected bond with fellow Naval aviator Tom Hudner, played by Glen Powell - who is also in Top Gun Maverick. This also stars Spencer Neville, Christina Jackson, Thomas Sadoski, Joseph Cross, Daren Kagasoff, Serinda Swan, and Joe Jonas. This looks phenomenal! I...

Audition (Takashi Miike)
Perhaps I’ve been subconsciously squeamishly avoiding it, but I’ve been waiting to see Takashi Miike’s Audition for some time and now the opportunity has easily arrived courtesy of Mubi. As Daisy Phillipson writes for Little White Lies, “On closer inspection, however, Miike asks us to consider the cultural context in which the film is set. Based on a novel by Ryu Murakami, who often uses social commentary to skewer concerns facing modern Japan, Audition offers an ingenious twist on national femininity by subverting the passive female horror narrative.”

While recent time loop movies like Palm Springs have presented a rather bright and bubbly approach to the concept, The Obituary of Tunde Johnson takes a different path. Directed by Ali LeRoi, the drama follows a Nigerian-American teenager who is pulled over by police, shot to death, and then immediately awakens to relive the same day. Starring Steven Silver, Spencer Neville, Nicola Peltz, Sammi Rotibi, and David James Elliott, the TIFF premiere will now arrive this month and the first trailer has landed.
Jared Mobarak said in his review, “While not in control of the response, Tunde Johnson (Steven Silver) does control the conversation when deciding to come out as gay to his wealthy, Nigerian-born parents the night of his secret boyfriend’s (Spencer Neville’s Soren) birthday. He sits them down, diverts their attention from the busy intellectual discourse that runs through their heads, and says his peace. He...

"Your life is more important than your pride!" More loop films! Wolfe has debuted an official US trailer for the indie time loop thriller called The Obituary of Tunde Johnson, which originally premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2019. It's finally getting a theatrical debut later this month, after also playing at the Nightstream Film Festival last year. A wealthy, Nigerian-American teen named Tunde Johnson, played by Steven Silver, is pulled over by police, shot to death and immediately awakens, reliving the same day over and over, trapped in a terrifying time loop - forced to confront difficult truths about his life and himself. Nightstream explains: "Featuring one of the best and most radical uses of the time loop narrative device, [the film] offers a striking, crucial perspective of a long underrepresented voice paired with an unwavering appreciation for the beautiful moments in life, and a hope for a better tomorrow." Sounds cool.

He sits them down, diverts their attention from the busy intellectual discourse that runs through their heads, and says his peace. He fends off his mother’s desire to hold him (a source of physical affection he’s been trying to get her to stop) and implores his father to end the silent stare into the distance he’s adopted since the words were spoken. It becomes a weight off Tunde’s shoulders internally to have his truth heard and externally to see they won’t waver in their support. But it won’t prevent his death.

Eighteen-year-old Tunde Johnson (Steven Silver) isn’t consciously able to explain why he wakes up gasping every day. Every day is the same day, May 28, and every night, he’s murdered by the cops and “The Obituary of Tunde Johnson” is read anew: an upper-middle class, gay high schooler destined to be shot by jumpy officers who don’t know him at all. The interesting crinkle in Ali LeRoi’s coiling drama is that (Besides, notes LeRoi, the first time he dies, he does everything perfectly, placing both hands visibly on the wheel as though he’s been expecting danger his whole life.)
Instead, LeRoi (who created the TV series “Everybody Hates Chris”) and screenwriter Stanley Kalu chooses to wipe the majority of his memories, freeing Tunde to spend this slick, chillwave-injected film embracing life instead of dodging death. But death is coming from someone’s nervous trigger fingers and...
