This year’s field is is paced by Sza with nine nominations including for Record, Album and Song of the Year for “Kill Bill” and Sos. Phoebe Bridgers, Serban Ghenea and Victoria Monét have seven noms, while Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, boygenius, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift have six apiece.

When Hozier’s song “Take Me to Church” put the Irish folk-soul singer on the map in 2014, he told Rolling Stone that he had recorded the song’s original demo in his attic in a fit of inspiration, and that his performance in that private session had been so powerful his vocal stayed in the finished version. Among the nominees for the film categories are “Being the Ricardos,” “Encanto,” “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” “The Harder They Fall,” “The Tender Bar” and “Tick, Tick… Boom.” Meanwhile, some of the Television nominees include “The Crown,” “Cruel Summer,” and “Genius: Aretha.”
