Dallas was a french band created on the occasion of the first
broadcasting in France of the TV series "Dallas" starring Larry Hagman
who played J.R Ewing at the beginning of 1981.
The band sang the french version of the main title of the famous TV
series. Dallas was composed of 9 musicians :
Marc Demelemester (lead singer), Gilbert Dall'Anese (sax tenor, flute),
Rémi Dall'Anese (Bass, sound, backing singer), Sauveur D'Antonio
(sound, percussions), Kirt Rust (drums), Jean-Jacques Genevard (piano),
Jean Costa (trombone player), Christian Fouquet (trombone player) and
André Laïdli (trumpet bugle)
The band released an album called "Dallas" in 1981, and the single
"Dallas" the same year known a great success. The band Dallas performed
the song "Dallas" in many variety show in France. The song "Dallas" was
composed by Jean Renard (Music) and Michel Salva (Lyrics).
After the success in France and in Europe of the song "Dallas", the
band broke up.
