Andrew James Brescia was raised in Wethersfield Connecticut. This small
suburb of Hartford is known as " The Most Ancient Town" in Connecticut.
His interest in film began at an early age by his mother's love for
classic film and his father's interest in photography. AJ's first
camera was given to him by his father. It was an Argus C-3 and Andrew
was rarely seen without it. Every Saturday was spent at the double
feature movies.
AJ's desire to become part of the film community was also inspired by his Godfather , Tiomago. By the time Andrew was in his teens, Tiomago had appeared in several television shows ,Columbo and Kojack and had also appeared in films such as The Godfather.
Andrew attended two seminary high schools where he managed the school's broadcast radio station and the photography labs. He then attended MCC in Connecticut where he took classes in art and music.
Television broadcast came much later in life when AJ became the Station Manager and Vice President of RHCTV. During this time his credits include over fifty shows of "What's Your Problem ?" This live improve comedy had developed a large local fan base and ran for two years. As this show ended AJ Brescia created one of the most loved characters RHCTV has ever produced. Vinny the Ape. Vinny was the star of " Vinny Goes to Da Movies" This comedic look at classic B movies developed a cult following including Internet reviews for Hustler Films. As of 2014 Vinny goes to Da Movies has had a reformation and now does reviews of Independant film makers works , primarily in the horror genre.
