J. Cole is back with a “surprise” new album, Might Delete Later, arriving via Dreamville and Interscope Records.
Spanning 12 tracks, Might Delete Later’s release comes after a few weeks of Cole teasing the project via vlogs online. Alongside Cole, a number of artists appear on the album, including Ari Lennox, Gucci Mane, Daylyt, Cam’ron, Young Dro, and more. Check out the full tracklist below.
Of note is the closing track, “7 Minute Drill,” which includes Cole’s response to Kendrick Lamar’s diss on Future and Metro Boomin’s March 2024 song “Like That.” On the track, Cole raps, “I got a phone call that said somebody was dissing… He fell off like The Simpsons.”
Cole then alludes to Lamar’s discography, rapping, “Your first shit was classic, your last shit was tragic/ Your second shit put n***as to sleep but they gassed it/ Your third shit was a massive hit,...

J. Cole has offered a reply to Kendrick Lamar’s guest verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” which saw the rapper taking shots at Drake and J. Cole. Drake sort of responded to the diss on his current tour, but Cole took a more direct approach with “7 Minute Drill.”
The track, which closes out his surprise drop Might Delete Later, sees Cole addressing Lamar’s verse. “I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissing / You want some attention, it come with extensions,” he raps. “He...

The season of the very first sign of the zodiac is here, and that’s exactly why being a leader comes so easy for Aries folks.
And that’s no joke, Aries really don’t know what else to be but a boss, CEO or innovator, because they’d rather play by their own rules. They march to the beat of their own drum and rarely ever need anyone to play backup instrumentals. Their charm, playful personality and great sense of humor make up for their impulsiveness and sometimes hot-temper, and there’s absolutely no other sign who will keep it all the way real with you like an Aries does, even if it’s something you don’t want to hear. They tell it like it is, as dishonesty goes against their entire m.o.

Florence Pugh has fallen victim to a new trend where fans throw objects at performers while they are on stage.
The incident took place on Sunday at a Comic-Con event in São Paulo, Brazil, where Pugh was a panelist for the movie Dune: Part Two.
Pugh, along with her co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler and Zendaya, participated in a discussion about the sci-fi sequel when the incident occurred. While she posed for photos, an object was hurled towards the stage and struck Pugh directly in the face.
Videos that captured the incident have circulated widely on social media, and show Pugh and her co-stars in shock. The actress puts her hand over her eye before she reaches for the object from the ground. This occurred shortly after Pugh expressed her excitement for the panel and the opportunity to work with her fellow Dune cast members.
Pugh is not the first celebrity to endure such incidents.

Morgan Wallen has undoubtedly been the most successful country artist of the 2020s so far. The 29-year-old singer and songwriter has had two of the biggest albums of the decade: his 2021 release “Dangerous: The Double Album” and his recent 2023 collection “One Thing at a Time.” But Wallen has also been relevant for his controversies, whether it is partying during lockdown or his infamous drunk incident where he said the N-word. Especially since it happened amid widespread public discussion about racial inequalities in the US, Wallen was ostracized from the country music industry, although his fans seemed more enthusiastic than ever to support him. Wallen has since apologized and been welcomed back into the industry, but he’s still being ignored by Grammy voters. However, it’s 2023, and a new era of Wallen’s music is upon us. Will this year change things, or will Wallen remain goose-egged?

Barack Obama has again shared his picks for the year’s best, including his favorite movies, music and books.
“I always look forward to sharing my lists of favorite books, movies, and music with all of you,” he wrote on Twitter, sharing his picks in each medium in three separate posts and asking his followers to share their own favorites with him: “What did I miss?”
In what is perhaps no surprise — and as any good husband should — the former president picked wife Michelle Obama’s memoir The Light We Carry as one of his favorite books. “I’m a little biased on this one,” he noted in his tweet.
Other favorites include Jennifer Egan’s The Candy House, Charmaine Wilkerson’s Black Cake and Imani Perry’s South to America: A Journey Below the Mason-Dixon to Understand the Soul of a Nation.

As a music critic, it’s important to listen to as much music as possible. Play your favorites, but also discover new artists. Randomly select an album and give it a try. Check out recommendations from family, friends and folks on social media. Give that album you didn’t love another try.
Still, we like what we like, and music is subjective. With that said, here’s my list of the top albums of 2022!
1. Beyoncé, Renaissance
Listening to Beyoncé’s Renaissance is like watching and rewatching that epic TV series or film — the discovery is endless, and there is so much to unpack. The lyrics are catchy and confident, the beats are bouncy and brilliant and her vocal range is impeccable, going from fluttery coos on “Virgo’s Groove” to soft and sensual on “Plastic Off the Sofa” to assertive shit-talking throughout the 16-track dance escapade.

Lionel Richie received one of the most prestigious honors at the 2022 American Music Awards: the icon award. Every year, the noble honor is handed out to artists whose "body of work has marked a global influence over the music industry," according to an AMAs press release. Considering that Richie collecting the award now makes him the only artist in American Music Awards history to be featured on the stage every decade since its 1974 inception, it sure seems he deserves the accolade.
The icon award makes 18 AMAs wins for Richie, and he couldn't be more grateful. "I'm immensely grateful for a career that has taken me to places I never imagined that I'd go, from arenas worldwide to studio sets to the Ama stage," he said in a press release.
