Born in Danbury, Connecticut and now making his home in Texas, Douglas is a strong supporter of independent film and independent music.
He has also been involved in the Diplomacy hobby for decades, including as Lead Editor for the flagship publication Diplomacy World.
His first book, "It's Their House; I'm Just A Guest" was released in late 2014. It is a memoir of his experiences in Federal Prison. His second memoir, "Helplessly Hoping," was released in 2019 and details his first marriage, and his wife's struggle with mental illness and sexual abuse. He is planning a third memoir about his childhood and family.
