Daniel Matthew Reeves was born in Winkler County, Texas to Wilma Jean
Morgan Reeves and John Ruil Reeves. His mother was born and raised in
Birmingham, Alabama and her parents were Calvin and Clara Morgan. His
father was born and raised in Oneonta, Alabama and his parents were
John and Bessie Reeves. Daniel was brought up in both Texas and
Alabama. His father was an oil well servicing man and would move his
family between both homes in Alabama and Texas.
Most of the time Daniel attended grade school in Springdale Elementary
School near Birmingham, Alabama until his father was injured and moved
to Ashville Alabama where Daniel finished school. As a child, Daniel
was extremely shy and found it difficult to make friends. He secluded
himself to only a few close friends. He learned to play the guitar,
mandolin, and piano as a child and began to write and compose music.
His parents started to attend church regularly where Daniel began to
break out of his shyness and started performing gospel music in church.
He began to perform at different events and started making more
friends. As a child, Daniel always loved playing with cameras and
pretending that he was a famous movie star, producer, or actor. The few
friends Daniel had would get together with Daniel and they would all
play like they were making movies. He began to write story scripts for
their movies. By the time Daniel had attained the age of 14 he had
written several complete stories. He had a most vivid imagination and
could put that imagination to paper. Daniel attended Gadsden State
Community College in Gadsden, Alabama and he took both music, acting,
and drama classes. He starred in several plays and began to perform
with the college music group. His first book, The Adventures of the
East Gadsden Crybabies, was published before he had finished college.
Several other books followed. Daniel married and fathered three children. He had one grandson, Isaiah Matthew Reeves, named after Daniel. His marriage lasted for ten years and ended in divorce. Daniel moved to Panama City Beach where Daniel continued his work with books, music, and film. Daniel's plans are to create the greatest Zombie movie ever created.
