"Riverdale" basically one-ups its own insanity every season, and most recently it achieved this by introducing the newest villain, Percival Pickens (Chris O'Shea). Percival comes to town at the same time that the main characters mysteriously gain superpowers. At first glance, Percival seems like he is cut from the same cloth as the town's previous antagonist, Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos). They are both sinister businessmen who mean to squander Riverdale's "heart" by buying it up and letting the debaucherous Ghoulies have the lay of the land.
Still, one thing sets Percival and Hiram apart; while Hiram operates like a Don right out of a mafia movie, Percival is more sinister and supernatural, like a villain from a Stephen King novel.
Hiram Lodge has powers of his own — money and fear. At the beginning of the series he is imprisoned, but he doesn't stay that way for long. He soon establishes...

Well if there is anyone hot enough to melt a comet, it’s certainly Riverdale‘s Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch). As the show’s most fantastical season to date comes to an end, so too may our beloved, beleaguered town with pep. For weeks, Archie (Kj Apa) and the gang have been dealing with the undead, corpses with missing heads, rapidly aging babies, witches, an alternate universe known as “Rivervale” and the battle of good-vs-evil against Percival Pickens (Chris O’Shea). Along the way, Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) was revealed to be a guardian angel of sorts, half the town gained and lost superpowers (included Bingo the dog!), Pop’s proved to be the seal of a Hellmouth and viewers all but lost their minds. Riverdale is officially off. The. Chain. Archie hooking up with a teacher and that Dungeons & Dragons killer plot now seem like a quaint, watercolored memories. And...

The witch is back! Kiernan Shipka makes her return as Sabrina Spellman in this sneak peek of the July 10 episode of Riverdale. Titled The Witches of Riverdale, Shipka reprises her role from Netflix's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina—and a December 2021 episode of Riverdale!—to assist Riverdale's resident witch Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) in her ongoing feud with Percival Pickens (Chris O'Shea). Who better to turn to than a witch — especially Sabrina Spellman (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Kiernan Shipka) — after Percival (Chris O’Shea) lets loose plagues on the town? That’s what brings her back to Riverdale for the next episode, airing on July 10. At the end of the latest episode, everyone had thought they had taken care of Percival and celebrated Toni (Vanessa Morgan) and Fangs’ (Drew Ray Tanner) wedding. However, he broke free of the stockade and let loose the final plague: death of the firstborns. In quick succession, quite a few people in attendance at the wedding died, as did, it seemed, Jughead (Cole Sprouse), who’s locked himself away in the bunker, writing and avoiding all the thoughts he can hear (and coming face-to-face with another version of himself). Heather (Caroline Day) was the one to tell the others about a certain necromancer she knows. And the...

[Warning: The below contains spoilers for Season 6, Episode 11 of Riverdale, “Chapter One Hundred and Six: Angels in America.” If you don’t want to be spoiled, maybe go Google “transtemporal” and come back later.] Like Bill & Ted with a social conscience, Riverdale revisited key moments in Black history tonight, through the eyes of Tabitha Tate (Erinn Westbrook). As the supernatural season has unfolded, it’s been revealed that various residents of the town with pep are developing powers and it turns out, Tab is now one of them. Her gift: Time travel. Brought on by an attempt on her life by a goon working for Percival Pickens (Chris O’Shea), the possibly Evil-with-a-capital-e land developer who wants to tear down Pop’s, Tabitha found herself leaping from 1944 to 1968 to 1999. Riverdale Season 6 Episode 9
“None of this makes sense.”
As Riverdale‘s sixth season rolls on, the series finds itself struggling to fill its Big Bad-shaped hole in the wake of the departure of Mark Consuelos’ Hiram Lodge. The show’s current antagonist is Percival Pickens (Chris O’Shea), a newcomer who claims to be related to the town’s founder. His charisma is combined with an ability to mind control nearly everybody in his path, causing Archie to wonder if Pickens is the reason that he, Jughead and Betty have been gifted with superheroic powers. (A musing that Jughead hilariously shuts down by referring to Archie as Professor X).
But the often wrong Archie actually has a point here. In this show’s fractured logic, cause and effect often meet up in the goofiest way possible. So why wouldn’t three of the series’ four leads...

After initially showing up two weeks ago looking to buy the Andrews house — an offer which Archie refused with a stern “no way, bro” — Percival has been sniffing around town, trying to figure out the interpersonal relationships of the townspeople and pretty much figuring out right away all the shady shit that goes on in this supposedly ideal community.

We get to see Joe telling his baby son that he's changed him, which can mean a lot of different things.
We also get to see Joe stalking another woman, which does not sit well with Love.
The pair bicker like it's going out of fashion before conceding that they should go to therapy.
Always a show to throw in some satire, the therapist tells the pair of them that they are not capable of murder.
Yeah, tell that to the bodies starting to pile up.
The trip to the suburbs was supposed to be a new start for this couple, but somewhere along the way, they've realized the relationship is no longer working.
Love confronts Joe about his lack of care for her, and well,...

When You returns for its third season next month, Joe Goldberg will face his greatest fear: fatherhood.
“In my history of scared, this is the most scared I’ve ever been,” Penn Badgley’s character admits in the Netflix thriller’s just-released trailer. Fortunately, he and Love (Victoria Pedretti) make the “perfect team,” so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about.

If you thought that becoming a father and moving to the suburbs would make Joe Goldberg less of a creepy stalker, well, you just haven’t been paying attention. Netflix released the first full-length trailer for “You” Season 3 on Friday and Penn Badgley’s narration reveals the same violent, compulsive murderer we’ve come to know and love — only now with a lawn.
“We’re just the nice, normal neighbors next door,” Joe tells his new wife Love (Victoria Pedretti) in the clip, convincing no one.
The new season picks up right where Season 2 left off nearly two years ago, with Joe and Love having relocated from Los Angeles to “the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers.” Whether or not Joe will hate them as much as he hated L.A.’s social-climbing influencers and...

Netflix confirmed earlier this week that the highly-anticipated third season You would touch down on its streaming service on October 15.
In the aftermath, Netflix dropped a bunch of photos that tease some of the coming events, as well as some of the new cast members.
We'll start with Joe and Love because one of the photos shows them seemingly having a new killing chamber.
If you watch You online, you know Joe was stunned by the revelation that Love was partial to killing some people who got on her wrong side.
And, just as Joe realized he wanted to kill her, she told him she was pregnant with their child.
So, they moved to Suburbia, but Joe wasted no time in finding a new object of his affection, which will undoubtedly cause some problems.

If there’s one thing more terrifying than Penn Badgley’s Joe in “You,” it’s the potential for a mini-Joe. And that’s exactly what he seems to be worried about in a new teaser for Season 3 of the Netflix hit.
“A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of a mini-me was purely exciting, and not without challenges,” Badgley’s creepy voice narrates. “Let’s just say I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do.”
Of course, fatherhood tends to put one’s priorities in order and for Joe, baby Henry — a name he’s meticulously chosen for very complicated reasons — may just put him on a better path. “For you, I can change,” he says. “I’ll be a man you look up to. A man you will be proud to call dad.

One of TV's most twisted love stories continues this October.
Netflix announced on Monday that You Season 3 will (finally!) receive its premiere on October 15.
"In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers," reads the official logline.
"Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad, but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness."
"And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing," it continues.Â
"But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape."

The bursting at the seams cast of You Season 3 just got bigger.
Per Deadline, Scott Michael Foster has nabbed a recurring role as a TV reporter named Ryan.
Described as a “well-liked single dad who’s overcome a history of addiction, Ryan has secrets, including a controlling, calculating demeanor that he reserves for those closest to him and anyone who gets in his way.”
Yep, he sounds just as dark as the characters that came before him.
He joins a packed cast that already includes Scott Speedman (Animal Kingdom), Shalita Grant (Search Party), Travis Van Winkle (The Last Ship), Dylan Arnold (Nashville), Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Ben Mehl (The Good Wife), Shannon Chan-Kent (Good Trouble), Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives), Chris O’Shea (Madam Secretary), Bryan Safi (9-1-1), Mackenzie Astin (Homeland), Ayelet Zurer (Daredevil) and Jack Fisher (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

You Season 3 has found Joe's latest obsession.
Per Deadline, Michaela McManus has boarded the third season of the Netflix hit in the role of Natalie, Joe's married neighbor.
If you watch You online, you know Joe set Natalie as his next obsession at the close of You Season 2.
Natalie is professionally and socially successful (which seems to be the norm on this series!), but Joe knows there is more to her than meets the eye, and that explains his decision to pursue her.
Joe has always been intrigued by women who are not who they appear to be. Case in point: Love Quinn, who later emerged as a merciless killer, much like Joe.
But Joe is bonded with Love in that they both created a baby, and thus, have moved to a suburban neighborhood.
Saffron Burrows, who plays Love's mother, has been upped to a series regular ahead of the third season.
