When someone in the Valenti family is hiding a secret, odds are, aliens are involved somehow. Such was the case in the last episode of “Roswell, New Mexico” — and that particular secret leads Kyle and Isobel to a surgical team-up this week.
Granted, Isobel wasn’t always part of Kyle’s plans. In reality, he jetted off on his own after he and Isobel found a clue in his Eduardo’s office at Deep Sky. When Kyle arrives in Careyes, he finds an all-too-familiar artifact — an alien pod. The snag is, it appears Tezca, the third alien who’s been tormenting Roswell, is in this one.
After taking July 4 off, we return this week to Kyle mid-investigation on his discovery. But as he starts thinking things out, he hears someone coming. Of course, that someone is Isobel, who had a hunch that whatever item they found in Eduardo’s office would lead to something useful.

“Roswell, New Mexico” returns for its final season premiere on Monday night, and it’s bringing an old friend back into the fold — at least temporarily. Max Evans’ old partner and friend Jenna Cameron is back, and she needs his help solving what very well may be a crime committed by aliens.
Of course, this time around, Jenna Cameron (Riley Voelkel) is actually Agent Cameron, having taken a job with the FBI. But to be fair, she’s not the only one with a new title. Max (Nathan Dean Parsons) has one too; he’s currently the sheriff of Roswell (even if only in the interim). Their banter is as strong as ever, as Jenna needles Max by informing him that she only took the job “so I could outrank you, Evans.”
Jokes aside, there is a reason that Max was the one called in to help solve a bank...

This Roswell review contains spoilers.
Roswell Season 2 Episode 8
Roswell finally confronts its Rosa problem, Alex gets tripped up by his internalized homophobia, and Maria continues her search for answers about her abilities, with Isobel’s help and to Michael’s chagrin. Meanwhile, the search for Jenna Cameron introduced us to her sister Charlie, got Liz thinking about her scientific future, and saw Max testing the limits of what’s reasonably safe.
Rescuing Cam was weirdly intense but brought us Charlie, played by the excellent Jamie Clayton, Aka Tess on The L Word: Generation Q and Nomi on Sense8. This storyline took up a lot of screen time to bring back Jenna Cameron, introduce an entirely new shadowy organization, and set up Charlie and Max being taken the same way Cam was.
All of that feels important and worthy of valuable minutes, but it didn’t play that way in the moment.

Max and Liz weren't the only ones looking into Jenna's disappearance on Roswell, New Mexico Season 2 Episode 8.
Disguised as an FBI agent, Jenna's sister, Charlie, arrived in town hoping to find answers on Jenna's whereabouts.
But with some help from Jesse Manes, the trio discovered that Jenna wasn't just missing, she was taken.
Jenna was searching for her missing sister, but the roles were reversed when Jenna was kidnapped on her quest.
How ironic is it that Jenna had to go missing, too, for her sister to be found?
You're Charlie. Jenna Cameron's sister.

They didn't even get to have a conversation after all was said and done.
It was the first we've seen of Charlie, and she's a compelling individual whose motives need to be further explored.
Before "Say It Ain't So," viewers knew next to nothing about Jenna's sister.
