Ms. Black represents producers, showrunners, directors, writers and on-camera talent in all areas of entertainment. Her practice also includes representing and advising significant corporate clients, including prolific television production companies and traditional and new media companies delving into new business areas.
Prior to joining Ziffren Brittenham, Ms. Black was a business affairs executive at NBC Universal. Ms. Black started her legal career as a corporate transactional attorney in the fields of mergers and acquisitions and securities. Due to her experience inside a studio and in handling complex corporate transactions, Ms. Black brings a unique skill set and perspective to representing creative talent and companies.
Ms. Black graduated Order of the Coif from Stanford Law School. She also holds a Master of Arts degree from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University.
A resident of Venice Beach, long before it became fashionable, Ms. Black lives there with her husband and two dogs.
