- The character name, Stoney, who Jay played in Matt Shaw's Monster, was the nickname given to Jay's late Hells Angel biker Father, who passed away in 2015. For Stoney's scene in the film, Jay wore his Fathers tie so a part of him could accompany him throughout the day.
- Jay's favorite film of all time is Zombi 2/aka Zombie Flesh Eaters. As a kid, because his parents rented a lot of video tapes, he preferred Battle Beyond the Stars and The Black Hole to the Star Wars saga whilst pretending to shoot zombies as inspired by Dawn of the Dead and Zombie Creeping Flesh. The first film he saw at the cinema was The Day Time Ended in the late 70s, accompanied by his Sci-Fi mad Uncle, because Star Wars was full up. He loved it.
