Clem Curtis was born on November 28, 1940 in Trinidad, British West Indies. He was married to Safonova, Edena. He died on March 27, 2017 in Olney, Buckinghamshire, England, UK.
He was the original lead singer of the British group The Foundations. He can be heard on their hits Baby, Now That I've Found You and Back on My Feet Again. He had a solo career in the 1970s, and appeared on the London stage in musicals.
He moved to England when he was 15 and became a professional boxer, before joining The Foundations.
