Rodrigo de Vasconcellos
- Writer
Born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in Paraíba, Rodrigo de Vasconcellos is a Brazilian emerging queer writer. His original stories reflect dissident characters who use queerness and other survival technologies to crack the structures of their world.
His first original story Blush, a queer musical melodrama with hints of horror, is now under development by RT Features company, produced by Rodrigo Teixeira (Call me by your name, The Witch), co-written with Alice Marcone (September Mornings, Todxs Nós), to be directed by Marco Dutra (Good Manners, Hard Labor). The script has won best pitching at FRAPA - Festival de Roteiro Audiovisual de Porto Alegre and was finalist at Guiões Festival, in Lisbon.
His second original story Red Sand, a queer ensamble dramedy, is being developed by Beija Flor Filmes company, produced by Andréa Tomeleri (Alice Junior, House of Izabel), to be directed by Gil Baroni (Alice Junior, House of Izabel).
