Pop history is littered with prolific partnerships, but the artist-producer pairing is arguably one of the most indispensable. Not only can an intrepid knob-twirler coax the best out of an artist, the most fruitful of these collaborations are often reciprocal. Think George Martin and the Beatles; Timbaland and Missy Elliott; or Jam & Lewis and Janet Jackson. Taylor Swift and former Fun guitarist-drummer Jack Antonoff have both achieved commercial and critical success outside of their work together, but their alliance over the last several years has, more often than not, resulted in pop magic.
The duo first worked together over a decade ago, on the unassuming “Sweeter Than Fiction,” a song from the British-American film One Chance. The following year, Antonoff co-wrote and co-produced three tracks for Swift’s blockbuster album 1989, the success of which propelled him to the top of every A&r exec’s wish list, helming tracks for Pink,...

When the Apple TV+ series The New Look premiered in February, it brought with it the true stories of Paris-based fashion designers — from Christian Dior to Coco Chanel — navigating the hardships of World War II. But the show also offered a new sound by way of its Jack Antonoff-produced soundtrack. The latest release from the record finds Bartees Strange reimagining the 1940s classic “You Always Hurt the One You Love.”

Record of the Year is awarded to both the performer of the song, as well as the recording engineers who took part in the production of the song. The Record of the Year highlights the performance and the production of the song.

Taylor Swift is in the throes of her massive Eras Tour, which hits Arlington, Texas this weekend. But she still found time to drop an acoustic version of Midnights opener “Lavender Haze” on Friday.
She transforms the dreamy synth-pop track into a folksy, finger-plucked tune. The song —which was co-written by Zoe Kravitz and producers Sounwave, Jahaan Sweet, and Sam Dew — suddenly becomes an intimate, enchanting Lilith Fair-core tune as opposed to the arena-pop moment the single sounds like in its original state.

Taylor Swift just wants to stay in the “Lavender Haze,” and now she has a choice between the original Midnights edition and the newly released remix with German DJ Felix Jaehn, whose remix of Omi’s “Cheerleader” track topped charts worldwide when released in 2015.

Taylor Swift unveiled the next visual for her song “Bejeweled“ from her new Midnights album.
In what Swift describes as “music movie,” released to coincide with her new tenth studio album, the singer puts a twist on the Cinderella fairytale, in which Laura Dern, Haim, Swift’s longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, Dita Von Teese and Pat McGrath star alongside her in the visual.
The music movie, which Swift wrote and directed, opens with Swift’s “House Wench Taylor,” cleaning the floor — with an instrumental of her song “Enchanted” playing in the background — as she listens to her stepsisters (Haim) and “stepmommy” (Dern) discuss how anyone who wins the talent competition will get keys to their own castle and a marriage proposal from the prince.

Rumors of a collaboration between Tame Impala and Diana Ross swirled for months before the Jack Antonoff-produced track was released as the lead single to his soundtrack to Minions: The Rise of Gru and now the video has arrived. “Turn Up the Sunshine” brought the Australian multi-instrumentalist and the pop superstar together in the studio, but the accompanying music video features a host of minions standing in for the pair.
The animated visual pulls from groovy Seventies aesthetics while the famed yellow characters dance around in tracksuits, overalls, and disco gear with hypnotizing flare.

Just in time for summer, Diana Ross has released the party-ready jam, “Turn Up the Sunshine” — her new collaboration with Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, better known as Tame Impala. The song is slated to appear on the upcoming soundtrack for the animated film, Minions: The Rise of Gru.
The groove-laden track — written by producing superstar Jack Antonoff, Sam Dew, Patrik Berger and Kevin Parker — evokes the ebullient energy of Ross’ early solo efforts while allowing the 78-year-old superstar to showcase her vocal chops alongside playful instrumentation mixing funk, disco and psychedelic pop.

Jack Antonoff has achieved a rarified ubiquity for a songwriter-producer. You can measure his prominence in Grammy Awards (five) and, to a certain extent, critics lists and charts, though for someone technically working behind the scenes, the best proof might just be the memes. Like this scrappy photoshop job of Lorde telling the Taylor Swift Evermore cover, “Mom said it’s my turn with the Jack Antonoff.” Or, the TikTok of three men tossing a child back-and-forth, which one Twitter user captioned, “Lorde, Clairo & Phoebe Bridgers passing around the Jack Antonoff.

Red Hearse – the new electro-pop trio comprised of hitmaker/producer Jack Antonoff, singer Sam Dew and hip-hop producer Sounwave – took to the Late Late Show stage on Tuesday night to perform their new single “Everybody Wants You.”
The rendition was a very minimalist one, with the three band members sitting around a white table in the boxed-off center of Stage 56. Sam Dew stayed seated throughout his full vocal performance; Antonoff and Sounwave both kept their eyes down at their keyboard and laptop, respectively. Free of bells and whistles, the performance...

Red Hearse have shared “Everybody Wants You,” an emotional track off the group’s upcoming self-titled debut album. On the pop-tinged ballad, the band, the new trio of Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff, singer Sam Dew and producer Sounwave, lament a hard-to-reach lover.
The lyrics reveal an effort to win someone over (“I could take you dancing/ I’m not the romantic type”) before resigning to the impossibility of the situation (“Baby, what’s the use?/ Everybody wants you”). It’s a relatable, melancholy number with a kinship to the group’s single “Half Love,...

Red Hearse — the new trio of Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff, singer Sam Dew and producer Sounwave — created an intimate setting befitting the confessional, romantic vibe of their new single, “Half Love,” during their performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday. The track is expected to appear on the group’s self-titled debut, out later this summer via RCA.
For the trio’s first TV performance, they sat in a circle at a table beneath dim lighting as Dew sang about yearning for all-encompassing love over Antonoff and Sounwave’s soundscape.

St. Vincent carries out a surreal smash-and-grab job in the video for “Half Love,” a new song from Red Hearse, the trio of Jack Antonoff, singer Sam Dew and producer Sounwave.
The video was directed by Grant Singer and stars St. Vincent’s Annie Clark as a woman who rolls up in a red hearse to a bizarre store that has no entrance, just an exit, and seems to be entirely empty save for a pair of uninterested employees — played by Dew and Sounwave — who look on as Clark uses...

The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.
As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.
However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

While they “Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” fans no longer have to wait forever for the single’s music video.
Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik released the highly-anticipated visual compilation for their Fifty Shades Darker collaboration, “I Don’t Want to Live Forever”, on Friday at midnight sharp.
Set during the late-night hours at London’s historic St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, which was built in 1873 and located across from King’s Cross Station, the Grant Singer-directed video follows two lovers in the throws of intense romance, reminiscent to the one between Fifty Shades characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
