Salma Amer is an American director, born in Alexandria, Egypt. She moved to the United States when she was 18 years old and earned her degree in accounting. She then studied filmmaking in New York and took a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Los Angeles. Salma currently lives between LA and New York, working as a director on commercials and music videos. After graduating, Salma started working as a script supervisor in order to gain experience with directing and to be close to directors. She is currently working on her feature film, which will be her debut as a director. Salma has always been passionate about filmmaking and she has used her skills to craft compelling stories. Her work has been featured at numerous film festivals and she has won several awards for her short films. Salma is a strong believer in the power of art and storytelling. She believes in creating meaningful stories that can inspire and connect with audiences. She is committed to creating stories that are socially relevant and that will leave a lasting impact on the viewers. She is also well-known for her commitment to empowering women through her work. She frequently works with female-led productions and aims to create content that celebrates and elevates women. Salma loves directing and plans to pursue this passion for the rest of her life.
