Jorge Marme was born Jorge Alfredo Martínez Medina in Ensenada, Baja California, México. His family moved to the city of Tijuana, BC , at the early age of 2.
His father being a painter was a big influence on him since little and at the age of 21 he graduated from the Escuela Superior de Artes Visuales (ESAV) with a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts, and would later earn a Master's Degree in Aesthetic & Artistic Theory from the University of Guanajuato (UG) at the age of 26. Working during this period of time as an art teacher for several different classes at his alma mater ESAV and as a freelance artist with most of his work focusing on magical imagery, surreal and otherworldly subjects.
Starting from mid-summer 2016, he began to work as a concept artist and storyboard artist for the production company Boxel Studio in Tijuana until October 2020 when he decided to work full time as a freelance artist. He has worked in many different projects for the animation,television and film industry as a storyboard and concept artist since.
