Logan Mansberger is an American film director/producer and the founder of the film studio, Penalty Productions. Mansberger was born in Truckee California and spent his early childhood in the mountains in Oregon; he directed his first film when he was only twelve years old which sparked a deep interest in filmmaking and narrative storytelling.
In 2011, he started directing with a short called "My Brother," a WWII thriller set in the 1940s about two brothers pinned down under heavy enemy fire. Mansberger cites this film as initially what inspired him to become a filmmaker. His most memorable achievements were his short films that gained him recondition, most notable is his no-budget short film "Charlotte," which garnered Mansberger attention at numerous film festivals around the United States.
Mansberger formed his company Penalty Productions in 2018 under the masthead of his short film 'John, Do Your Will' (2018). Which was acquired by Amazon Prime for streaming and cemented his pursuit to becoming a fully accessible production company. Mansberger continued in 2020 with, "At Noon" which is a modernization of a classic genre, the American western. He co-wrote, starred, produced, and directed this modernization of a beloved genre that found popularity and attention with a distribution deal from Amazon Prime Video. He continued with his prison drama in 2021 called "Contingency," which he starred and directed himself winning numerous awards and accolades across the United States and Europe.
Mansberger is responsible for curating, developing, and distributing projects through Penalty Productions label of media. He is the President of Penalty, located in the heart of Los Angeles, CA he oversees all operations and management for film productions distributed through Penalty. The company continues to distribute award-winning content and most importantly tells stories that challenge the current climate of films being produced in today's market.
