Daniel McClure started composing/performing soundtracks in 2016. For the short film, The Banality, he received an Award of Excellence for Individual Achievement in Music from the Southern Shorts Awards (2019). McClure is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Fort Hays State University, where he teaches and writes about music, film, and history. He is the author of Winter in America: A Cultural History of Neoliberalism, from the Sixties to the Reagan Revolution (University of North Carolina Press, 2021), and co-authored Historical Theory and Methods through Popular Music, 1970-2000: Those are the New Saints (Palgrave, 2017).
