Sans the scrubs, Meredith and Izzie, along with Miranda, Webber and Karev, reunited Monday at the Primetime Emmys to give away the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series.
Ellen Pompeo was joined onstage in a makeshift hospital room by Katherine Heigl, James Pickens, Chandra Wilson and Justin Chambers. Each actor then shared a moment from the show’s long history.
“When the first episode aired in March 2005, Shonda was not sure she knew she created a show that had a lasting imprint,” Pompeo began.
“Over 400 episodes and counting!” continued Chambers, who left the show in 2020. “It’s a tribute to everyone who’s been a part of our family.”
Heigl, who left the show in 2010, had the fun line. “Oh yes there have been some changes over the years, but one thing that has remained a constant is the wonderful fan base.”

Meredith Grey has left Seattle.
The highly anticipated event transpired on Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 7, and to say that it was underwhelming would be an understatement.
Join super fans Meaghan Frey and Joshua Johnson and Senior Staff Writer Jasmine Blu as they discuss what the hell happened.
Did the heavily promoted "Farewell Meredith" episode live up to the hype? Discuss.
Meaghan: I couldn't have been more disappointed in this episode. I was annoyed that they were promoting this like it was Mer's final episode when it was confirmed that she would return for the finale; I still expected more.
When Jackson left the show, Jesse Williams had always intended on returning from time to time, just like Ellen Pompeo, so why did he get a better goodbye than their main character? No montage, no emotional goodbyes between Mer and any character, and no classic Grey's Anatomy songs?
I don't know who Ellen pissed off,...

It's been over three years since Justin Chambers announced he was hanging up his scrubs and exiting "Grey's Anatomy" after 16 seasons on the show, but now fans are convinced he may be reprising his role of Dr. Alex Karev. While the actor has not confirmed nor denied his return to the long-running medical drama, he shared an Instagram post on Jan. 31, which led viewers to get their hopes up that he will be scrubbing back in soon.
"A fresh cup of Greys," Chambers wrote alongside a photo of a cup of coffee with a sleeve that had Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.), and Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) pictured on it.

Grey’s Anatomy is making it official: Matthew Morrison will indeed be returning later this season as Jo’s abusive (and very much estranged) husband Paul, and it sounds like this time the Glee alum will be sticking around for a while.
“Matthew is coming back as Dr. Paul Stadler and we are facing the issue of domestic violence head-on,” co-showrunner Krista Vernoff confirmed to TVLine over the weekend at the ABC drama’s 300th episode soiree in Los Angeles. The EP was quick to assure fans, however, that Morrison’s return — and the dark cloud he’ll be bringing with...
