Eleven-time Lpga Tour Winner Lexi Thompson will make her PGA Tour debut when she and the rest of the Tour pros head to Vegas for the Shriner’s Children’s Open. Thompson will be only the seventh woman to play in a PGA Tour event, joining Annika Sorenstam, Shirley Spork, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, Suzy Whaley, Brittany Lincicome, and Michelle Wie West. Also featured in the event are last year’s winner Tom Kim and Luke List, who won last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship. Gurugram, Oct 5 (Ians) A host of young champions are among the 74 golfers, who will set off in quest of a berth in the World Championships and other internationals as they tee up at the first leg of the US Kids Golf India Tour at the Classic Golf and Country Course.
The yardages are all age-specific, as per the international standards of the US Kids, and a unique feature as compared to many of the other competitions in younger age groups. The first leg will be held on October 6 and the second one on October 7.

Nickelodeon is taking a new swing at mixing professional sports with its young audiences.
After broadcasting two NFL Wild Card games aimed at kids in the past two football seasons, the ViacomCBS outlet will next tackle golf. Nickelodeon plans to air a new one-hour special, “Nickelodeon Slime Cup,” that sets four teams of three against each other on a “Nick-ified” golf course with one-of-kind tee boxes, physical challenges, and far-out fairways. Each team will consist of a professional golfer, a celebrity, and a Nickelodeon star.
“We are inventing our own golf match,” says Brian Robbins, president and CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, in an interview. “It’s definitely different.”
