It’s ironic how Raye’s hardest song to sing is also the one she has to perform the most. “People are like, ‘She sounds so out of breath.’ I’m like shut the fuck up! Where do I breathe?” she tells Rolling Stone with a laugh about her smash hit “Escapism.” “Tell me where to breathe!”
Since the song’s release late last year, the track has garnered 507 million streams and counting on Spotify. With its key changes and rapid raps, it’s one of the most interesting hits...

“Started writing this song yesterday morning with my friends in upstate New York & finished it only a few hours ago…felt important to me to share with you guys in real time,” wrote Mendes, 24, on Instagram, noting that he’s making a donation to the Canadian Red Cross alongside the song’s release.
As per People, the track, produced by Mendes and Mike Sabath and co-written by the pair with Scott Harris and Eddie Benjamin, was released with a cover image taken this week of the New York City...

For Raye, there are no longer any ifs, ands, and buts to what she can and can’t do with her career. On Friday, the British Ghanian singer-songwriter will release My 21st Century Blues, a long-awaited debut from an artist who has co-written standout singles for the likes of Beyoncé, Little Mix, Madison Beer, and Charli Xcx. It’s also a cathartic starting point for a singer who has long fought for her independence in music.

Hey, "The Voice" fans. Earlier tonight, December 3, 2019, another Live results/elimination show did indeed air. If The Voice’s Shane Q was trying to get eliminated ahead of next week’s Semifinals, his rendition of “Caribbean Queen” during the Top 10 performances the evening before sure seemed like a foolproof way to do it. If he’d sung that way during the Blind Auditions, he’d never have gotten a chair turn — even from coach Kelly Clarkson, who so often seems to swivel just because “Oh, I know that song! Must! Hit! Button!”
I knew going into Tuesday’s episode that yeah, yeah, Shane had surprised us before — more than once — and avoided elimination. But I...
