Poll: Actresses Considered to Play Clarice Starling

The heroic FBI Agent Clarice Starling is the protagonist of two very different films released a full decade apart: The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and Hannibal (2001). A stunning array of actresses were considered for the part in both cases, ranging from excellent suggestions to truly unthinkable choices. Who do you think could have best filled the shoes of the intrepid Agent Starling?
