I don't love to analyze thing too much, but this poll delivers a sucker punch to the voters and then pulls the rug out from under it. It is sensational. It is also grimly funny. It's a disturbing poll in the best sense. By the time you've gotten through it, you feel spent, loaded down and more than a little disoriented. Part of the problem is that the poll's big concepts - violence begets violence, absolute power corrupts absolutely, everything is connected.
