Jerry Goldsmith (1929-2004) was one of the most popular and influential film composers working in Hollywood. In a career spanning more than 40 years he wrote the music for over 150 films and television shows.

He won one Oscar out of 18 nominations. He also received nine Golden Globe nominations, won five Emmys out of seven nominations and got four BAFTA and Grammy Award nominations.
