- João Arrais is an award-winning Portuguese actor whose career began at the age of nine and has spanned dozens of roles in film, television and stage. Outside of his native country, he is best known for starring in Chilean filmmaker Raúl Ruiz's final film, Mysteries of Lisbon (2010), and for his recurring collaborations with director Carlos Conceição, most notably in the acclaimed features Tommy Guns (2022) and Serpentarius (2019). Other prominent projects include Ordem Moral (2020), with Maria de Medeiros, and Lines of Wellington (2012), with John Malkovich. João Arrais also starred in the feature films L'Enfant (2022) and Hero On The Front (2018). He lives in Lisbon and is represented by the agency True Sparkle.
