- Kurt Roland Pettersson was born on January 21, 1958 in Luleå, Norrbottens län, Sweden. He was trained in karate and practiced Kickboxing. He trained often with Dolph Lundgren and they both competed together on the same national team in the late 1970's and early 1980's. His most well known role was as the villain in Jet Li's Directed Film Born to Defence (1986). Kurt had lived in Spain for a few years and worked as a fitness coach in the Gym. Early on a Saturday morning the Swede was on his way home after visiting a nightclub. Accompanying him were another five or six people. At a public square, in Barcelona, Spain they got in a quarrel with another group of people. During the brawl Kurt was struck in the throat with a strike hard enough to crush his trachea. According to police, he was also beaten in the head with a round object, probably an iron pipe. According to police, there were no other witnesses to the Brawl except for those involved. It is still uncertain what took place and why Kurt was killed.

Saxophonist, songwriter ("Because of You", "Hot Toddy", "Cow Cow Boogie"), conductor, arranger and composer, educated at Wilberforce University in theology. He was a saxophonist in Horace Henderson's Wilberforce Collegians, then played in the orchestras of Fletcher Henderson and Chick Webb. He went to Paris in 1935, and joined the Willie Lewis Orchestra, then became the staff arranger for the BBC in England. Returning to the USA, he formed his own orchestras in New York and Hollywood, and began writing for films.
